
Instructs group classes weekly in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that welcomes people of all skill and fitness levels. Modifies class as needed to meet varied health, ability and cultural needs. Attend all ASYMCA training meetings, special events and staff meetings as requested. Must uphold and promote the ASYMCA mission by demonstrating the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads energizing, fun, safe and educational group classes, as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the ASYMCA mission and goals.
Asks and answers questions from program participants and members to support them in achieving their goals related to health and well-being.
Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members and program participants connect with each other and the ASYMCA.
Observes and adjusts approach to support all participants' capabilities, physical conditions, health, and culture.
Celebrate achievements of program participants related to program or personal goals, mastering of specific skills or overall health and well-being.

We provide free and low-cost specialized programming and support services to military service members and their families with a particular focus on junior-enlisted men and women.
As a national member association of the YMCA of the USA, we operate more than 200 program centers worldwide. In coordination with the Department of Defense and installation commands, we work closely to identify gaps in support and services currently available, and tailor our programming to meet those needs.
Our programming offers essential services such as childcare, hospital assistance, spousal and deployment support services, emergency food and essentials assistance, educational and mentoring programs for military children, counseling, wounded warrior support, wounded family support, health and wellness services, family and youth recreational program and activities, and holiday programs.
