Job Description

As MarTech professional you will be part of the team that is driving the vision, strategy, and execution of ING’s marketing technology stack, ensuring seamless integration of platforms to deliver data-driven and personalized customer experiences. This role combines technical and business expertise with a focus on innovation and collaboration across teams.

You will operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting, working closely with other Marketing and Sales teams across business lines, IT, data, DPO/DPE and external vendors. The role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and adaptability, leveraging your own and the team’s expertise to deliver and implement impactful solutions. You will be part of the Digital Sales & Data area, from where the ING marketing strategy is developed and executed. Within this area you will specifically be positioned in the team of Digital Enablers, this expert team is responsible for developing the MarTech stack of the future.

Your key responsibilities:

As MarTech Professional you will:

  • Be responsible for the integration and evolution of our MarTech stack (incl. CDP, CMS, analytics, etc.) with internal systems or other 3rd party platforms. You will align with the global IT teams that are responsible for the technical delivery and drive the NL roadmap together.
  • Identify gaps (data-driven) and industry trends for improvement and propose actionable solutions or emerging technologies.
  • Design and optimize the technology stack to support paid media campaigns across platforms like Google or Meta, optimize campaign costs and ensure higher data activation volumes.
  • Continuous audit and refine the marketing stack to eliminate inefficiencies, reduce costs, and improve scalability.
  • Collaborate with legal, data governance and IT teams to ensure system scalability, compliance (data privacy & consent), and data governance.
  • Integrate AI initiatives in the MarTech stack and steer for adoption.
  • Develop strategies to ensure accurate data collection and enrichment for personalization on paid & owned media channels.
  • Act as a liaison between Marketing & Sales and IT teams to align MarTech business objectives and the technology stack.
  • Oversee the timely delivery of features that drive marketing efficiency, customer engagement, and business growth.
  • Define and track KPIs to measure the success of MarTech products and initiatives.
  • Conduct training sessions to upskill marketing teams and other stakeholders on MarTech technology capabilities.
  • Regularly communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership and other stakeholders.

Proven track record and technical skills:

  • Degree in marketing, digital business, or a related field (master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in MarTech, digital marketing, or related roles, preferably in financial services.
  • Strong understanding of MarTech platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Cloud, Google Marketing Platform, Tealium, Amplitude) and how it enables marketing and CX use cases.
  • Good understanding of Content technologies such CMS or DAM
  • Experience with data-driven marketing strategies, customer segmentation, and personalization best practices.
  • Strong commercial acumen, able to drive business value via prioritizing work based on impact.
  • Experience with working in cross-functional teams, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR and the Dutch Telecommunications Act) and compliance best practice
  • Analytical and growth mindset with a passion for solving complex marketing challenges into clear product requirements and improvements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to explain requirements and trade-offs and adapt communication to audience.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
