PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Marsh PathwaysExternshipis a 4-week, in-office professional development experience designed for rising sophomore and junior undergraduate collegestudents interested in exploring careers in consulting, risk management,insurance,and client services.
This program provides early exposure to corporate environments, hands-on skill building, and direct engagement with Marsh professionals. Participants will gain resume-ready experience, build confidence navigatingprofessionalsettings, and learn how to position themselves for future internship and/or job opportunities.
NOTE: This is not aninternship. It is a non-paid,educationalworkshop series focused onprofessional development.
PROGRAM DETAILS
Location: 500 Dallas St #1500, Houston, TX 77002
Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursday | 9:15AM – 1:00 PM
Duration: 4 weeks | Weekof July 6 – Week of July 27
EXAMPLE WORKSHOPS& EXPERIENCES
Participants will engage in interactive sessions and hands-on activities, including:
Client Engagement SprintPractice communicating with clients and presenting recommendations.
Risk CaseStudyAnalyze real-world business risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Excel & Data Insights Lab:Build foundational data analysis to make business decisions.
AI-Assisted Workshop:Learn how to responsibly use AI for research, analysis, and communication.
Resume Workshop:Strengthen your resume for future internship and job opportunities.
Job Shadowing:Students will be paired either individually or in small groups with a Marsh professional based on their area of interest for a job shadowing experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Rising sophomore and junior undergraduate collegestudents at an accredited university
Ability to commit to the full 4-week program schedule, in-person at the Houston office
Comfortable toparticipatein discussions, engage with peers, and build meaningful connections
Interest in consulting, risk management,insurance, and/or client-facing roles
Some knowledge of the work we do at Marsh
Willingness to learnand show curiosityabout the industry

Students must be able to reliablycommuteto the Marsh Houston office for each session.
