At Group Markets Compliance, we safeguard market integrity by ensuring Erste Group meets key capital markets regulations across Austria and CEE. As part of the second line of defense, we design, oversee, and continuously enhance markets compliance controls in close collaboration with local compliance teams, first-line stakeholders, and IT. In this role, you will work at the intersection of regulation, data, and system supported controls, contributing to how Erste Group fulfils MiFID/MAR and PAD requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

Your Tasks

  • Perform and coordinate markets compliance control activities (MiFID/WAG, MAR, PAD, conflicts of interest)
  • Further develop and harmonize control frameworks, documentation standards, and reporting across Austria and CEE
  • Serve as a key contact for local compliance teams and selected business stakeholders in an international setup
  • Collaborate with first-line functions and IT on data quality, process improvements, system requirements, and testing
  • Support reviews, assessments, and the creation of presentations, guidance materials, and training content

Your Background

  • Professional experience or strong interest in markets/compliance topics (MiFID/MAR/WAG) or related control areas
  • Professional background in compliance, capital markets, law, audit, or other regulatory environments; solid understanding of capital markets products
  • Strong interest in compliance-related IT and systems (workflows, tools, data quality, testing, documentation)
  • Reliable, structured, accurate, and solution-oriented working style with strong communication skills
  • Very good English skills and basic German; comfortable working with international teams across Austria and CEE

Our Offer

  • A position with real impact on Group-wide markets compliance standards and control frameworks
  • High visibility and relevance across Austria and CEE, with regular cross-border collaboration
  • The opportunity to deepen your expertise in regulatory frameworks and practical control design
  • A combination of content-focused and system/tool-related work
  • The minimum wage for this full-time position in accordance with the collective agreement with complete fulfillment of the functional profile is EUR 49.772,80 gross per year. But this is just a formality – we would be happy to talk about your actual salary in person!
  • We consider the diversity of our employees as key to innovation and success. As employer we are proud to offer everyone equal chances, irrespective of age, skin colour, religious belief, gender, sexual orientation or origin.
