PURPOSE

The Marketing Writer creates and refines compelling content that informs, engages, and inspires action. Partnering with subject matter experts, business leaders, and creative teams, this role transforms complex topics into clear, audience-focused communications that support marketing objectives, strengthen brand messaging, and drive engagement across multiple channels.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop compelling marketing content across multiple channels, including advertising, email campaigns, websites, brochures, flyers, social media, and other marketing materials.
  • Create engaging B2B content, including thought leadership articles, white papers, case studies, reports, executive communications, and other long-form content.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and business leaders to gather insights and translate complex concepts into clear, accurate, and audience-focused content.
  • Transform technical and industry-specific topics, including mortgage insurance, housing finance, credit, risk management, and regulatory matters, into accessible and engaging communications.
  • Adapt messaging, voice, tone, and style to effectively connect with diverse audiences, including borrowers, lenders, investors, employees, executives, and industry professionals.
  • Develop content and messaging strategies that support broader marketing objectives, brand positioning, value propositions, audience insights, and business goals.
  • Write and edit both long-form and short-form content, including articles, guides, educational resources, headlines, taglines, calls-to-action, social media content, and campaign copy.
  • Create executive communications, including presentations, talking points, speeches, leadership messages, and social media content.
  • Edit and refine content produced by others to improve clarity, consistency, impact, and alignment with brand and messaging standards.
  • Ensure content is concise, audience-focused, and free of unnecessary jargon, while maintaining accuracy and credibility.
  • Collaborate with marketing, creative, and design teams to develop messaging frameworks, campaign concepts, creative themes, headlines, and content executions that support strategic objectives.
  • Serve as a steward of the organization's brand voice, ensuring consistency and quality across all communications.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in content development, copywriting, marketing communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling content across a variety of formats, including marketing campaigns, digital content, thought leadership, articles, presentations, and social media.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, accurate, and engaging content for diverse audiences.
  • Experience interviewing subject matter experts and synthesizing information into audience-focused communications.
  • Ability to adapt writing style, tone, and messaging to effectively engage different audiences and communication channels.
  • Understanding of content strategy, brand voice, messaging frameworks, and marketing best practices.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience writing for B2B audiences and creating thought leadership content such as white papers, case studies, reports, and executive communications.
  • Experience working with complex financial services, insurance, mortgage, banking, or highly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with SEO, content management systems, and digital marketing channels.

FLSA: This position qualifies for the Administrative exemption as the employee is required to exercise discretion and independent judgment in supporting products/brands to further the sale of mortgage insurance.

Pay Range:

$71,720.00 - $118,340.00

This range aligns with current market data and reflects our commitment to competitive and equitable compensation. Salary offers are based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and training. The range may vary in certain locations to reflect local market conditions. It is not typical to initiate pay at the top of the range to account for internal equity and allow for future and continued salary growth
