Marketing Specialist — United Tradesmen Position: Marketing Specialist Location: Remote Reports to: Executive Leadership About United Tradesmen United Tradesmen is a construction-focused organization that supports skilled tradespeople, small contractors, and general contractors by providing back-office support, project management, financial management, marketing services, HR, and workforce coordination. Learn more: unitedtradesmen.org Role Overview We are seeking a Marketing Specialist to lead and manage marketing initiatives that strengthen the United Tradesmen brand, attract new contractors and workforce members, and increase awareness of our services across the construction industry. This role is ideal for a creative, proactive marketer who understands digital outreach, lead generation, and brand storytelling — especially within the trades, construction, or smallbusiness service sectors. Key Responsibilities Brand & Content Development • Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice across all communications. • Create marketing collateral such as brochures, presentations, digital ads, flyers, and contractor-facing materials. • Manage ongoing improvements to the United Tradesmen website (copy updates, service pages, case studies, landing pages). • Produce content for social media, blogs, newsletters, and email campaigns. Digital Marketing & Social Media • Manage social media accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram) with a focus on growth, engagement, and brand positioning. • Plan and execute digital campaigns to recruit contractors and skilled tradespeople. • Monitor analytics, optimize performance, and report KPIs. • Improve SEO and online visibility for United Tradesmen. Lead Generation & Recruitment Marketing • Develop campaigns to attract: o Skilled trades workforce (electricians, plumbers, carpenters, etc.) o Independent contractors o General contractors seeking back-office support • Build marketing funnels and retargeting strategies to convert leads. • Create landing pages, ads, and targeted messaging to support recruitment goals. Partnership & Community Engagement • Support relationship-building with trade schools, unions, vocational programs, and industry organizations. • Coordinate outreach for local events, job fairs, and hiring initiatives. • Develop marketing materials for partner presentations. Marketing Operations • Manage CRM or contractor/workforce databases for marketing follow-ups. • Maintain content calendars and marketing project timelines. • Prepare monthly marketing reports for leadership. • Collaborate with internal teams to support campaigns (workforce, operations, business development). Qualifications • 2–5 years experience in marketing, digital marketing, or communications • Experience working in construction, trades, staffing, or B2B services preferred • Strong copywriting and content creation skills • Knowledge of social media management, SEO, and digital ad platforms • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools • Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.) is a plus • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects • Self-starter who can work independently and propose new ideas Preferred Skills • Graphic design and basic video editing • Understanding of contractor and trades workforce dynamics • Ability to simplify complex processes into clear, digestible messaging • Data-driven approach to campaign tracking and optimization
