Job Description

Yamaha is seeking to fill a Marketing Specialist I for our facility located in Kennesaw, GA. In this role you will be responsible for Coordinating and supporting all aspects of Yamaha Marine collateral and digital marketing portfolio and Yamaha marine subsidiary marketing materials. Maintains consistent integration of Yamaha marine brand positioning, marketing and campaign themes throughout all projects based on the direction of Marine Marketing Managers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Coordinate collateral and digital projects internally and with external vendors to maintain and complete all key Yamaha marine marketing collateral, merchandising materials, website and digital properties such as the LMS and YMBS content to Yamaha standard of quality and accuracy in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate content enhancement of website including performance bulletins, video, and image libraries as well as general updates and maintenance. Supports email marketing, CRM, apps and other digital properties. Maintains and updates all web-based support platforms; DAM and PIMS sites content.
  • Prepares proposals for efficient distribution of marine marketing materials to our customers (Dealers, OEMs) for all key projects and facilitates once approved. Regularly monitors existing inventories to assure effective customer support.
  • Supports the development of select marketing materials, content and projects to support Yamaha marine subsidiaries (Kracor, Bennett Marine, PPI, Etc.) as requested.
  • Provide in house graphic design support for B and C level projects; retail promotions, Marine Marketing Guide, Price Lists and Programs.
  • Provide analytic tracking reports on monthly basis for all websites.
  • Liaison to communicate with Yamaha vendors and customers regarding proper use of Yamaha marine brand I.D. standards.
  • Helps prepare projects for submission to legal and engineering to gain approval on content development, marketing staff and product planning.
  • Tracks and maintains collateral project records. Prepares and conducts project bids.
  • Assists with development of all other marketing projects as requested.
  • Assist with events and meetings as required.
  • Makes independent decisions regarding routine project activities.
  • Works under general supervision.

What you need to be successful:

  • B.A. Degree – Business/Management/Marketing
  • 2+ years marketing and/or advertising experience
  • Boating and fishing experience highly desirable. Marine industry experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office Application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
  • Must be able to work well independently as well as within a team-based environment.
  • Fluent with contemporary document and design programs, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator etc.
