
Come join our Peak Health team at WVU Medicine as a Specialist, contributing to the foundation for an innovative, new health plan. This position will report to the Manager, Insurance Products, playing a unique and important role in our mission to change healthcare for the better.
In this role, you will be essential in the execution of marketing initiatives that support Peak Health’s strategic business priorities and operational goals. The ideal candidate will be able to pivot from strategic to tactical implementation while working across multiple levels within the organization to build the marketing and outreach plans. Experience in the healthcare insurance industry and critical thinking skills are necessary in order to contribute to the mission of the organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. BA/BS degree in Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Three (3) of marketing experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience in insurance, healthcare, or other human services area.
2. Five (5) years of marketing experience.
3. Experience with social media management and digital marketing platforms.
4. Experience with website content management; WordPress experience.
5. Experience with email marketing platforms and digital communications, MailChimp.
6. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
7. Experience with digital analytics and reporting tools, such as Google Analytics.

1. Performs a variety of administrative/clerical functions to support the timely and successful execution of marketing plans and other activities for the Marketing/Communications Department.
2. Creates Power Point presentations, fliers, and other documents, as requested.
3. Posts clips on LinkedIn and other relevant social media of news reports relevant to Peak Health.
4. Assist leadership team in communications with internal and external vendors and clients.
5. Assists with special events for the public.
6. Assists with press conferences and other media events.
7. Places advertising in local and specialized media.
8. Maintains spreadsheet schedules for all Marketing & Communications projects and posts frequent updates on status.
9. Compiles monthly and quarterly reports of Marketing & Communications activities and completed projects.
10. Supports systems for accounting for staff effort (re time) for various projects and clients.
11. Assists with acquisition and maintenance of mailing lists.
12. Maintains inventory of publications and assists with mailing and other means of distribution.
13. Assist in answering requests for data about Peak Health.
14. Occasional travel in region.

4. Demonstrated competence in PowerPoint, Photoshop, and basic layout is desirable.

6. Ability to work independently in a hybrid work environment.
