Job Description

Chemistry Marketing Specialist

Shift: First Shift

Salary: $65,000 to $80,000 (dependent on experience) with a robust corporate benefits package

Who We Are

We are a premier, full-service industrial resource reclamation corporation based in Northeast Ohio focused on transforming complex industrial manufacturing byproducts into high-value, sustainable commodities. Serving key accounts across the aerospace, automotive, catalyst, electronics, and thermal spray manufacturing sectors, we help companies achieve 100% recycling and zero-landfill goals through innovative circular economy solutions.

Role Overview

The Chemistry Marketing Specialist bridges the gap between material science and business growth. In this role, you will leverage a strong foundation in chemistry or metallurgy to evaluate industrial manufacturing byproducts for reclamation viability while learning to execute targeted B2B brand awareness and account development strategies.

No prior marketing experience is required. We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background in chemistry or materials science who is eager, coachable, and excited to learn B2B marketing, account development, and client engagement. If you have the technical knowledge to understand metals, alloys, and elemental compositions, we will train you on our marketing and brand awareness tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Material Evaluation: Audit and evaluate non-hazardous production byproducts, including spent catalysts, thermal spray powders, dust collector fines, grinding wheels, abrasives, and alloy swarf.
  • Technical Analysis: Coordinate client material sampling and laboratory profiling to analyze elemental percentages and establish material reclamation paths.
  • Client Engagement & Audits: Conduct site surveys at manufacturing facilities to audit byproduct streams and build trust with plant managers, metallurgists, and engineers.
  • Marketing & Brand Awareness (Training Provided): Learn and manage modern B2B networking channels (such as LinkedIn) to highlight zero-landfill sustainability missions, educate industry executives, and drive inbound corporate inquiries.
  • Commercial Growth: Scout, identify, and engage new industrial prospects across core manufacturing sectors.
  • Logistics & Compliance: Coordinate specialized logistics paths and environmental recycling certification pathways for client materials.
  • Industry Representation: Represent the company at national manufacturing expos, trade shows, and industry events to expand brand reach.
  • Executive Visibility: Work closely with internal leadership to align market exploration with proprietary reclamation capabilities.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), offering high-level visibility into corporate strategy and long-term business growth. This role carries no direct supervisory responsibilities at this time.

About You

  • Technical Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Environmental Science, or a closely related technical discipline (Required).
  • Technical Foundation: Strong baseline understanding of chemical compositions, elemental analysis, metals, or industrial material behavior.
  • Marketing Aptitude: Strong desire and coachability to learn B2B digital marketing, social media brand strategies (specifically LinkedIn), and modern outreach techniques.
  • Communication & Professionalism: Ability to comfortably discuss technical material specs with factory engineers while communicating economic and environmental value to executive decision-makers.
  • Administrative & Relationship Skills: Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable maintaining professional business relationships.
  • Travel Flexibility: Openness to engage in regional domestic travel for client facility audits and national trade shows.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Position requires a mix of professional office work, technical data analysis, and physical site surveys within industrial manufacturing environments. Candidates must be able to walk production floors, handle material samples safely according to safety protocols, and manage regular regional travel.

Next Steps

If you possess a strong foundation in chemistry and are excited to expand your skillset into corporate brand strategy and commercial development, we would like to hear from you. Please submit your resume for consideration.

Equal Opportunity Employer.
