Job Description
The Marketing Specialist is a self-motivated professional with an entrepreneurial spirit that is looking to carve their path in the technology industry. This role is responsible for creating content strategies that effectively describe and promote our broad portfolio of products for both internal and external use. This role will also assist in the creative messaging and building of strategic and compelling marketing campaigns to directly and indirectly enhance revenue within the desired area or line of business. Additionally, the Marketing Strategist will lead the on-going digital journey and content strategy for the company website.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of our products, their value propositions, the customer profile, the competition, and the ecosystem in which they live.
- Use independent discretion to lead and participate in the development of product messaging and content (e.g., white-papers, case studies, product videos, website copy, competitive intelligence, blog posts, etc.) to articulate the benefits of our products and services and support sales, marketing and related campaign efforts.
- Collaborate cross functionally to participate in company SEO and social media initiatives by providing industry-related content and insights and overall company go to market strategy.
- Use independent discretion to plan budgeting and lead the on-going digital journey and content strategy for the company website and retail markets.
- Collaborate cross functionally to develop and implement communication strategies for a seamless customer on-boarding automation experience and customer journey.
- Assist in product lifecycle milestones by building customer training and education material and customer email communications.
- Use independent discretion to conduct national and market-specific research to gather competitive insight to curate creative and engaging campaign messaging across various channels, upgrades and promotions.
- Other duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Minimum 4 years’ of experience in Marketing, Advertising, PR or Communications, Bachelor’s Degree and relevant work experience preferred
- Experience in the telecommunications/cable/ tech industry preferred
- Experience with Wordpress preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience working in fast paced, deadline driven environments.
- Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working closely with marketing, sales and operating teams to meet revenue targets
- Strong customer service, organizational and analytical and follow through skills
