We’re looking for a Marketing Specialist to join our team who wants to do interesting, varied work in a technical B2B environment. This role leans toward digital marketing, content, communications, and marketing systems, with a steady mix of proposals, events, branded materials, and project storytelling.

This is a good fit for someone with a few years of experience who is ready for more ownership, better creative work, and a team that expects quality.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

Content Development, Branding & Storytelling

  • Develop and format proposal materials, presentations, project sheets, resumes, graphics, and other client-facing content with a high level of quality and attention to detail
  • Turn project updates, field photos, and technical input into clear, engaging stories that connect with the intended audience
  • Maintain website content, project profiles, staff bios, photography, templates, and marketing libraries to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment

Digital Marketing & Campaign Execution

  • Coordinate digital marketing campaigns across social media, email, web, and other channels with clear organization and follow-through
  • Manage scheduling, tracking, reporting, and follow-up while identifying opportunities to improve clarity, performance, and effectiveness
  • Support development and distribution of campaign messaging and assets aligned with audience and brand

Communications (Internal & External)

  • Draft and coordinate internal communications, employee updates, announcements, and culture content with a clear, approachable voice
  • Collaborate across teams to gather input, align messaging, and make communication easy and effective

Events, Promotions & Branded Materials

  • Plan and support events, including logistics, vendors, materials, signage, promotion, and post-event follow-up with strong attention to detail
  • Coordinate swag, merchandise, and branded materials, ensuring quality, consistency, and thoughtful distribution

Project Coordination & Workflow Management

  • Keep marketing work organized, accurate, and moving across multiple priorities, owning tasks and following through on commitments
  • Coordinate timelines, inputs, and deliverables across teams, communicating clearly and helping create a steady, respectful team environment
  • Proactively identify needs, ask questions, and contribute ideas that improve how work gets done

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate technical information into clear, engaging, and audience-focused content
  • Good design judgment, including layout, formatting, consistency, and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Confidence gathering information from diverse stakeholders, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach
  • A practical, creative mindset with the curiosity to find smarter, clearer, and more effective ways to communicate

Demonstrated Accomplishments

  • Proven ability to execute digital marketing efforts across social media, email, and web, including coordination, tracking, and reporting
  • Demonstrated success developing high-quality marketing and proposal materials for client-facing use
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams) applied to deliver effective marketing materials
  • Experience translating complex or technical information into clear, compelling content
  • Track record of maintaining organized, accurate, and brand-consistent materials across multiple projects and deadlines

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing, content development, proposals, or a related role
  • Experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or another technical B2B environment preferred

What You'll Get

Working Conditions:

The majority of the time you will work in a typical office environment. Occasionally, you may travel to a construction job site. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space. You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day.

Benefits Overview:

IME provides an industry-leading comprehensive benefits package.  Full-time employees are eligible to choose from a variety of healthcare coverage options, which become effective the first of the month after hire.  In addition, employees are offered a substantial amount of PTO and are immediately eligible to make contributions to a generously matched and fully vested 401k. 

Salary Range: $68,000 - $92,000

*Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.*

As an electrical contractor, we install and service the power and lighting to commercial and industrial buildings in the Western US.

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $68,000.00/Yr. - USD $92,000.00/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications.
