Marketing Specialist:
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Marketing
◦ Assist with the creative development of promotional materials, website content, presentations, advertisements, and other marketing-related projects
◦ Coordinate with various media channels, advertising agencies, printers, internal departments and other services to support marketing and communication initiatives
◦ Generate content for marketing materials, including press releases, mailings brochures, and web content
◦ Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to support marketing initiatives across social media, website, email, print, and community outreach channels
◦ Maintain editorial, social media and advertising calendars
• Digital Communications
◦ Regularly update local service-related website content and event information
◦ Develop and maintain social media content for local service programs, utilizing Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other approved platforms
◦ Monitor engagement and assist in identifying opportunities for audience growth and community interaction
◦ Assist with digital communication efforts including e-blasts, newsletters, and event promotions
◦ Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to ensure brand consistency and messaging alignment across digital platforms
• Graphic Design and Content Creation
◦ Design Flyer, brochures, social graphics, presentations, signage, and other promotional materials
◦ Capture and organize photos and video content from local programs, activities and events
◦ Assist with storytelling initiatives highlighting members, staff, families, and community impact
◦ Support the development of marketing campaigns and communication materials led by the Marketing Manager
• Event Planning
◦ Assist with planning, promotion, and coordination of community events and fundraisers
◦ Assist with event support including photography, videography, setup assistance, and live event coverage when needed
• Grant Writing
◦ Research and identify grant-writing opportunities
◦ Implement the process of securing funding streams from annual grant programs
◦ Write and collaborate with other departments to complete grant applications
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in appropriate/related field or significant experience in marketing, communications, or related field
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience with social media platforms, content creation, and digital communication tools
• Graphic design experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
• Basic photography and videography experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pass a health assessment
• Clearance from all applicable background checks as required by service standards
