Job Description

Weather Shield is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join the Marketing team at the Medford, WI corporate office. The Marketing Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the marketing team by coordinating key programs, managing sample requests, maintaining display orders, and creating communications that reinforce brand consistency. This position involves assisting with marketing campaigns across various channels, preparing content for newsletters, and helping organize events such as trade shows and webinars. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and eager to learn, contributing to a fast-paced environment while collaborating with internal teams to ensure projects are completed accurately and efficiently. This is a full-time position that works onsite at corporate office Monday - Friday.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer Co-op Advertising Program: Review submissions, verify compliance with brand guidelines, maintain accurate records, and communicate approvals or adjustments to dealers.

  • Oversee Quick Ship Sample Program: Process sample requests promptly, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate shipping with sample department to ensure timely delivery.

  • Manage Display Program: Enter display orders into the system, track progress if part of 50/50 Display Program, and learn AutoCAD to create and update layout drawings for showroom installations.

  • Develop and Send Email Campaigns: Use MailChimp to design, schedule, and distribute bulletins for internal teams and external customers, ensuring clarity and brand alignment.

  • Create Marketing Collateral: Assist in developing brochures, flyers, and promotional materials for campaigns and events.

  • Monitor Campaign Performance: Track engagement metrics, compile reports, and provide insights for continuous improvement.

  • Support Events and Trade Shows: Coordinate logistics, prepare promotional materials, and assist with post-event follow-up.

  • Maintain Marketing Databases: Update master email contacts and ensure data accuracy for campaigns and reporting.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain Marketing Asset Library: Organize and update digital assets such as logos, photography, and product images for internal and external use.

  • Assist with Social Media Management: Schedule posts, monitor engagement, and help with content creation.

  • Support Product Launches: Help prepare marketing materials, coordinate sample distribution and assist with dealer communications.

  • Coordinate Internal Communications: Assist in drafting and distributing company announcements and quarterly newsletter.

  • Track Marketing Expenses: Monitor budgets for campaigns, events, and programs to ensure compliance and cost efficiency.

  • Research Industry Trends: Gather competitive insights and report findings to support strategic planning.

  • Provide Administrative Support: Prepare presentations, maintain project timelines, and assist with meeting coordination.

MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:

Performance in this role will be evaluated based on the accuracy and timeliness of completed tasks, including co-op submissions, sample requests, and display orders. Success will also be measured by the ability to maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and communications, as well as the effectiveness of campaigns demonstrated through engagement metrics and overall execution quality. Proper inventory management for samples and displays, clear and professional communication with internal teams, dealers, and customers, and positive collaboration within the marketing department are essential indicators of performance. Additionally, proactive identification of opportunities for process improvements and contributions to enhancing marketing effectiveness will be considered key factors in overall job performance.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical skills for tracking and reporting campaign performance.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
