The Marketing Specialist 2 – Core Marketing position provides strategic marketing support across Core Marketing initiatives. This includes advanced project management, marketing plan development and execution, audience engagement strategies, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to drive awareness, action, and growth. This role reflects a higher degree of autonomy, strategic input, and data-driven decision-making to advance core cultural and marketing initiatives.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Channel Management & Traffic Coordination:

• Serves as the central point of coordination for channel planning, prioritization, and execution across Core Marketing initiatives

• Manages and maintains channel traffic calendars and dashboards, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and capacity

• Partners with Marketing Managers and Sr. Director to prioritize initiatives, allocate channel space, and resolve conflicts or bottlenecks

• Ensures all campaigns and deliverables are routed, approved, and executed on schedule across email, web, social, paid media, and other channels

• Monitors campaign flow from intake through execution, proactively identifying risks to timelines or delivery

Project Management & Execution Support:

• Supports end-to-end execution of marketing initiatives, including timelines, asset coordination, approvals, and distribution

• Maintains project visibility across systems (Aprimo, Airtable, CRM, etc.), ensuring accuracy of statuses, deadlines, and ownership

• Drives accountability by following up with stakeholders and partners to ensure milestones are met

• Assists in coordinating cross-functional efforts with Creative, Content, Legal, Brand, Broadcast, and external vendors

• Prepares and tracks work orders, budgets, and related documentation in partnership with Business Affairs

Strategic Support & Initiative Ownership:

• Contributes to campaign planning and channel strategy, offering input on audience targeting, timing, and execution approach

• Identifies opportunities to improve channel performance, campaign efficiency, and audience engagement

• Leads select marketing initiatives or campaign components with clear ownership of outcomes, timelines, and performance

• Supports development and execution of lifecycle marketing and audience engagement strategies

• Partners with Sr. Director and Managers to translate high-level strategy into executable plans

Reporting, Insights & Optimization:

• Builds and maintains marketing dashboards and reporting tools to track channel performance, campaign results, and operational efficiency

• Provides regular status updates and performance insights to the Sr. Director and key stakeholders

• Analyzes campaign data (e.g., conversions, engagement, ROI) to inform optimization and future planning

• Supports testing and optimization efforts across channels, including messaging, timing, and audience segmentation

Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration:
• Acts as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment

• Coordinates meetings, tracks action items, and ensures follow-through on deliverables

• Maintains strong working relationships with internal clients and support teams, building trust through responsiveness and reliability

• Serves as a point of contact for marketing-related inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses

Operational & Administrative Support:

• Maintains marketing calendars, documentation, and asset organization for Core Marketing initiatives

• Supports internal communication efforts related to marketing priorities and campaigns

• Coordinates logistics for campaigns, events, and promotional efforts (including inventory and materials)

• Assists in reporting, forecasting, and tracking the impact of marketing programs

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

• Limited travel as needed to conferences, representing the organization and its resources

• Manages travel arrangements for shipments and staff as needed

• Assists in managing student interns and volunteers

• Shares responsibility for general administrative duties within the Resource Marketing area

• Performs other duties as assigned

Working Environment/Physical Requirements:

• Fast-paced office environment with constantly changing priorities

• Occasional travel may be required, including nights and weekends

Knowledge/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• 2–4 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or communications with demonstrated project management skills

• Familiarity with marketing principles

• Christian media/publishing experience preferred

• Proficiency in Windows and Mac office software

• Experience with presentations and public communication preferred

• Knowledge of digital communication tools and social media platforms

Stewardship Requirements:

• Ability to remain within budget assigned for projects, recognizing stewardship responsibility of donor resources

Pay Range: $60,324 to $72,258
