The Role

The Marketing Senior Manager will lead and elevate the marketing function for the DACH region, driving strategic brand positioning and strengthening the company’s presence across clinics, healthcare professionals, and patient communities. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role leads a team of 3–5 marketing professionals and acts as a key partner to sales and clinical teams.

This is not an events-and-flyers role.

We are looking for a strategic marketing leader who will reposition marketing as a true business driver. You will shape brand positioning, strengthen trust in the market, guide experienced sales teams, and build a modern, data-driven marketing function in a highly regulated medtech environment.

You will play a key role in rebuilding brand trust following industry challenges in the past and in defining how our client is perceived across clinics, KOLs, patients and communities.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Brand Leadership

  • Define and sharpen the brand positioning of Advanced Bionics in DACH
  • Drive emotional brand storytelling and clear market differentiation versus competitors such as Cochlear and Med-El
  • Translate global strategy into a locally relevant narrative
  • Rebuild and strengthen trust in the market

Sales Enablement

  • Elevate marketing from service provider to strategic partner
  • Provide clear messaging frameworks and structured sales pitches
  • Develop impactful sales materials and competitive positioning tools
  • Guide experienced sales reps with clear messaging rather than reacting to ad hoc requests

Market and Competitive Intelligence

  • Drive structured competitive intelligence for the DACH market
  • Identify market shifts, trends and positioning opportunities
  • Act as a strong regional voice within a globally structured organization

Community and Digital Activation

  • Expand presence across social media platforms such as Instagram
  • Strengthen engagement with self-help groups and patient communities
  • Ensure presence at key congresses and trade fairs such as DGA in Oldenburg
  • Define digital targeting strategy and optimize search spend

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of 3 to 5 marketing professionals
  • Strengthen strategic marketing capabilities within the team
  • Build stamina, clarity, and confidence within the function

Requirements

We are looking for a strong marketing leader with:

  • Extensive experience in strategic brand marketing
  • Background in regulated industries such as medtech, pharmaceuticals, ophthalmology, supplements or regulated consumer healthcare
  • Experience balancing brand building with compliance and regulatory constraints
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and experienced sales teams
  • Strong resilience and the confidence to drive the narrative rather than being driven by it
  • Clear understanding that this ecosystem is more complex than FMCG
  • A medical background is not required, but you must be able to understand and navigate a regulated healthcare environment where every claim is subject to regulatory approval.
