Marketing Science Lead
Brief This role is in the organization to lead the execution on the account and office-level vision and priorities.
Output is to bring forward to clients Marketing Science projects, deliverables, and related work across a broad range of initiatives.
Career Development is typically provided by Marketing Science Directors or Senior Directors but can
be adapted to suit an account and/or office location.
Nature of role is that of a ‘leader’: here to understand Marketing Science at an advanced level and lead project contribution requirements for client-facing deliverables.
Core Responsibilities
Skills Developed
• Ability to identify, build, and lead teams to solve complex problems
• Experience with at least two and deep understanding of at least four of the following:
o Data architecture (ETL/data integration)
o Automated data ingestion and reporting
o Data science and statistical programming
o Testing and personalization
o Data visualization
o Website platform implementation
• Ability to excel in data storytelling as well as leading junior team members to translate findings into clear and actionable insights
• Experience in business development, from shaping analytics content, to providing recommendations on methodology and technology, to estimating level of effort, to casting appropriately
• Ability to give feedback and polish presentations for delivery as well as able to give upper-level presentations to internal and external stakeholders
• Soft Skills
o Possess strong interpersonal and team building skills, with the ability to foster a cohesive and effective work environment, and the responsibility to proactively check-in and report on team members’ needs
o Ability to oversee and polish communication to meet client expectations and business objectives for decision making purpose; ability to communicate effectively with senior clients
• Hard Skills
o Advanced understanding of Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, media tools and excellent understanding of how to navigate challenges
o Advanced level knowledge and working experience of Agency technology
Activities Performed
• Provide work and team leadership over delivery and project ownership requirements
• Manage Analysts’ and your own deliverables and ensure that the Marketing Science Associate
Director or Director has visibility into projects
• Lead the ideation, development and execution of measurement strategies and frameworks
• Provide career development guidance, leaderships, and support as needed to Analysts and
Analyst teams.
• Support in scoping Marketing Science staff management needs alongside Marketing Science
Directors and Senior Directors
