Marketing Sales Manager – Commodities Trading

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Salary: CN¥300,000 – CN¥600,000 per year (Approx. US$43,000 – US$86,000)
Employment Type: Full-time

Our client is a leading player in the commodities trading and industrial services sector, specializing in bulk raw materials such as energy and chemicals, agricultural products, non-ferrous metals, and ferrous metals The company operates on a robust business model combining physical trading, industrial research, and financial risk management, enabling seamless integration of futures and spot markets. With strong partnerships across the value chain, they are expanding into Southeast Asia, starting with Vietnam.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Development: Identify and onboard local factory and trader customers in Vietnam across energy, chemicals, metals, and agricultural products.
  • Sales Execution: Manage end-to-end sales processes including client visits, quotations, negotiations, contract signing, and payment follow-up.
  • Order Management: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance in trade patterns, customs clearance, and delivery timelines.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor price trends, competitor activities, and provide timely feedback on risks and opportunities.
  • Risk Management: Ensure adherence to compliance standards and mitigate credit and payment risks.

Candidate Profile

  • Education: College degree or above.
  • Experience: 2–5 years in commodity sales/trading in Vietnam; existing local customer network preferred.
  • Skills: Strong commercial acumen, ability to manage full sales cycle, and familiarity with trade compliance.
  • Languages: Fluent in Chinese (mandatory) and either English or Vietnamese
  • Travel: Comfortable with frequent local travel.
