POSITION SCOPE & ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

As the Manager, Pursuits, you'll lead a team of marketers and guide the development of strategic pursuits that wow our clients and win us projects. Based in our Allen, TX (Dallas) office, this role supports our Dallas, Hawaii, and Energy business units. In this role, you will work closely with executive leadership, the Dallas Marketing and Communications Business Partner, and other key stakeholders. Job Duties Include:

• Leadership and Development: Manage, guide, and train a marketing team focused on strategic pursuits, ensuring their growth and development. You will initially lead one direct report with plans to grow your team (additional team members may or may not be in Allen, TX).
• Strategic Planning: Develop and oversee strategic pursuit plans in collaboration with business development and operational leaders and manage pursuit deliverables from inception to completion while ensuring compliance and responsiveness.
• Collaboration and Innovation: Work closely with the Director, Pursuits on pursuit strategy, improve processes, and develop innovative solutions to enhance quality and efficiency. You’ll also maintain proactive communication with the Marketing and Communications Business Partners for alignment and cross-functional coordination.
• Content Creation and Management: Critically edit and proof content, ensuring compelling proposal responses and presentations, and manage print production of deliverables. Collaborate with pursuit team members to ensure maintenance of the marketing database and marketing materials, including project lists and personnel resumes.
• Process and Quality Assurance: Establish and follow processes that ensure quality proposals and adherence to brand standards.
• Additional Duties: May include managing consultants, developing project award strategies, and collecting case studies, among other assigned responsibilities.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO

• Experience and Education: 5-7 years in the A/E/C industry with a bachelor’s degree. Supervisory experience and a proven track record of successful pursuit/proposal development are essential.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite, and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. A working comfort with AI-powered tools and a curiosity to explore how emerging technologies can enhance pursuit quality and team efficiency.
• Skills and Attributes: Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. A detail-oriented individual with persuasive writing and editing capabilities who thrives under pressure and meets deadlines with positivity. An innovative thinker who embraces challenges and change. Comfortable leading across multiple offices and markets, and equally adept at guiding a team and contributing hands-on when the work demands it.
• Commitment: Willingness to occasionally work outside of normal business hours to meet project deadlines, and comfortable coordinating across time zones to support multiple regional offices. In addition, an ability to travel as needed to support pursuit activity, and the leadership of a growing team.
