The Marketing & Outreach Specialist is responsible for supporting Unison Health’s marketing, digital communications, community outreach, and referral source development efforts. This position helps increase awareness of Unison Health’s programs and services through social media, digital content, community engagement, event support, referral source relationship building, and marketing material development. This role supports both internal and external communication efforts and helps ensure Unison Health is represented professionally, consistently, and positively across digital platforms and within the community.

Key Responsibilities & Role Highlights:

  • Develops, schedules, and posts content across Unison Health’s social media platforms
  • Creates engaging content promoting programs, services, events, and job opportunities
  • Writes captions, announcements, and digital communications aligned with brand standards
  • Supports recruitment marketing by highlighting job openings and workplace culture
  • Creates and edits basic photo and short-form video content for social media
  • Monitors social media engagement and escalates sensitive issues as needed
  • Builds and maintains relationships with community partners and referral sources
  • Represents Unison Health at community events, fairs, and outreach activities
  • Develops, distributes, and maintains marketing materials and program resources
  • Tracks outreach activity, gathers feedback, and reports trends to leadership

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
  • Related experience in marketing, communications, social media, outreach, community engagement, customer service, or referral development preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, nonprofit, or community-based services preferred.
  • Must demonstrate strong written, verbal, visual, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have strong customer service skills and the ability to represent Unison Health professionally in the community.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, and YouTube preferred.
  • Experience with Canva, social media scheduling tools, basic graphic design, photography, or video editing preferred.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be comfortable building relationships with referral sources, community partners, and internal teams.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel for outreach activities and events.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to work occasional evenings or weekends for community events, outreach activities, or special projects.
