Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a forward-thinking marketing operations manager who can independently own the systems, processes, and measurement framework that power modern B2B demand generation and account-based marketing. This is a senior individual-contributor role responsible for translating business goals into scalable marketing automation, clean data flows, actionable reporting, and a pragmatic MarTech roadmap.
This role serves as the business owner for core marketing operations capabilities across HubSpot, Marketo, and connected GTM systems, with full accountability for campaign reporting, attribution, lead lifecycle design, routing logic, governance, and continuous optimization. The ideal candidate is both highly hands-on and highly strategic: someone who can improve today’s execution while also defining how the function should evolve.
Primary Responsibilities
• Own the end-to-end marketing automation ecosystem across HubSpot and Marketo, including program architecture, workflow design, governance, release management, and operational best practices.
• Define and maintain the MarTech roadmap for top-of-funnel and ABM operations, including evaluation, prioritization, implementation support, adoption planning, and ROI measurement for platforms such as Salesforce integrations, ZoomInfo, LeanData, 6sense, Demandbase, and related tools.
• Establish and govern campaign measurement standards, including campaign hierarchy, UTM governance, naming conventions, source tracking, program templates, and reporting definitions that enable consistent analysis across channels.
• Own marketing attribution strategy and reporting, including attribution model design, campaign influence logic, funnel definitions, source-of-truth documentation, executive dashboards, and insight generation across lead, account, pipeline, and revenue performance.
• Architect and optimize lead lifecycle processes across inquiry, qualification, nurturing, MQL, SAL, opportunity creation, and account engagement, ensuring definitions, stage progression, and service-level expectations are operationally sound and measurable.
• Design, implement, and continuously refine lead scoring, enrichment, normalization, deduplication, and routing logic, with the majority of workflow orchestration living in the marketing automation platform and coordinated appropriately with Salesforce and LeanData where needed.
• Build and maintain high-quality reporting for campaign, funnel, and ABM performance; translate data into practical recommendations that improve targeting, conversion rates, speed-to-lead, program mix, and investment decisions.
• Develop practical AI-enabled workflows that improve marketing operations efficiency and quality, such as campaign QA, segmentation support, reporting narratives, anomaly detection, tagging/classification, enrichment support, and workflow optimization.
• Partner closely with marketing, sales, sales operations, and revenue operations stakeholders to gather requirements, align processes, document standards, and implement scalable operating models that support growth.
• Own marketing data quality and governance within HubSpot and Marketo, including field standards, lifecycle integrity, list strategy, consent and suppression logic, audit routines, and compliance with applicable privacy and email regulations.
• Create, maintain, and improve durable process documentation, operating procedures, and system diagrams so that complex workflows are understandable, auditable, and repeatable.
Required Qualifications
• 6+ years of progressive experience in marketing operations, revenue operations, or demand generation operations within a B2B environment.
• Advanced, hands-on expertise administering both HubSpot and Marketo in a complex demand generation environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Salesforce architecture and integration patterns, including object relationships, campaign structure, sync behavior, field mapping, and downstream reporting implications.
• Demonstrated ownership of marketing campaign reporting, attribution, influence modeling, funnel analytics, and executive-facing dashboarding.
• Deep experience designing and managing lead lifecycle frameworks, lead scoring, data enrichment, segmentation, routing, and SLA-based handoff processes.
• Experience with key ecosystem tools such as ZoomInfo, LeanData, and 6sense, Demandbase, or other ABM platforms.
• Strong analytical ability, including comfort working with large datasets, diagnosing process issues, and turning findings into system or process changes.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize across competing requests, and bring a clear vision for how the role, systems, and roadmap should evolve over time.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical workflows and explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Practical experience applying AI to operational use cases in marketing, with an emphasis on quality, guardrails, efficiency, and measurable business value.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting enterprise B2B sales motions, multi-segment GTM strategies, or account-based marketing programs.
• Experience building or governing reporting in business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio.
• Knowledge of webhooks, APIs, middleware, or advanced integration troubleshooting within a GTM systems environment.
• Strong understanding of data privacy, consent management, and email compliance requirements such as GDPR and CAN-SPAM.
• SQL, spreadsheet modeling, or advanced data visualization skills.
Success Indicators
• Campaign reporting is trusted, timely, and standardized across demand generation and ABM programs.
• Attribution and funnel metrics are clearly defined, consistently applied, and used in planning and investment decisions.
• Lead scoring, routing, and lifecycle automation are accurate, scalable, and aligned with sales follow-up expectations.
• The MarTech stack is intentionally managed, with a visible roadmap, clear ownership, and measured value from key platforms.
• AI-assisted workflows improve operational speed and quality without weakening governance, data integrity, or reporting trust.
