The Marketing Operations Lead is responsible for establishing and operating SCOR’s marketing operations function across business units: Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life & Health (L&H). The role owns the marketing automation ecosystem ensuring data quality, lead management, campaign execution, and performance measurement while implementing robust governance and GDPR-compliant processes.
Acting as the central point of contact between Marketing, IT, Compliance, Data Governance, and business stakeholders, the role develops standards, processes, and reporting frameworks that enable scalable, efficient, and compliant marketing activities while driving continuous improvement and business impact.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Marketing Automation Platform & Data
Lead a benchmark of our marketing technology stack (current: Pardot / Account Engagement + Salesforce) and recommend the path forward before further investment
Own the marketing automation platform as Product Owner: configuration, campaign builds, workflows and integrations
Ensure reliable, real-time synchronization between Salesforce and the automation platform
Own data quality end-to-end: deduplication, bounce and unsubscribe processing, consent records and suppression list management
Maintain a clear data model for contacts and campaigns (fields, attributes, consent status) so the same information means the same thing across P&C and L&H
2. Governance & Compliance
Define and enforce clear governance: roles, responsibilities and a standard campaign validation process across P&C, L&H, IT and Compliance
Centralize all campaign sends through the authorized platform
Ensure GDPR-compliant practices across campaigns: legal basis, consent, tracking configuration and opt-out management
Monitor send volume and frequency per contact to avoid over-solicitation of brokers, cedents and clients, and manage complaint and unsubscribe signals
Partner with Legal/Compliance and IT/Data Governance to remediate deliverability issues and protect domain
3. Performance, KPIs & Reporting
Define marketing KPIs in collaboration with the Global Head of Marketing and build and maintain the Group performance dashboard
Track and report on campaign performance, deliverability health and funnel metrics
Provide regular, structured reporting to the Global Head of Marketing and leadership
4. Lead Management
Own lead scoring, segmentation and nurture workflow design
Ensure clean, timely handoff of qualified leads to business teams
Track lead-to-opportunity performance in partnership with business teams
5. Enablement, Documentation & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the day-to-day interface with IT, Compliance/DPO, Data Governance and business teams across P&C and L&H
Build and maintain a campaign governance playbook: standards, templates and approval process.
Train and onboard the L&H and P&C contributors on tools, process and best practiceRepresent Marketing Operations in relevant cross-functional forums (e.g. data governance, IT security) as the function's single point of contact reputation
Required experience & competencies
8 years minimum of experience in marketing operations, CRM/marketing automation or related roles.
Experience in B2B, financial services or (re)insurance is a strong plus
Hands-on expertise with Salesforce and a marketing automation platform (Pardot/Account Engagement, Marketo, HubSpot or similar)
Solid understanding of data governance and GDPR / consent management requirements
Equally comfortable operating strategically (governance, KPIs) and hands-on (tool configuration, data hygiene)
Comfortable building process, documentation and structure from scratch in an environment where marketing operations doesn't yet exist as a formal function
Rigorous, autonomous and able to bring clarity to an ambiguous, fast-evolving environmentProven track record influencing and aligning cross-functional stakeholders: IT, Compliance, Data, and business teams.
