Job Description

Storey Publishing, a division of Hachette Book Group, seeks a Marketing & Office Coordinator to join our collaborative Marketing team. 
Marketing Responsibilities:
  • Support Senior Marketing Manager 
  • Contribute to title-specific marketing campaigns as assigned 
  • Coordinate seasonal account marketing and mailings 
  • Update seasonal marketing materials, including sell sheets and brochures 
  • Organize advance copy mailings, coordinating with authors and across departments to distribute books ahead of their on-sale date 
Office Coordinator Responsibilities:
  • Perform administrative duties, including answering and routing incoming phone calls, taking messages, and providing information
  • Courteously and promptly greet and assist all visitors
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Assist employees with Pitney Bowes for outgoing mailing needs
  • Coordinate gifting portal orders (including library orders) to order books, receive, and distribute
  • Monitor and order supplies (office, mailing, kitchen, bathroom, etc.)
  • Check copiers/faxes daily and check for errors, replenish paper
  • Coordinate office maintenance. This includes but is not limited to working with MASS MoCA on plumbing, heating, air conditioning, elevators, and general maintenance.
  • Coordinate in-house events (lunches, meetings, celebrations); help as requested on company-wide events
  • Maintain conference rooms, kitchen, and bathrooms and work with MASS MoCA cleaning services to ensure that they have all necessary supplies (hand soap, garbage bags, etc.).
 
Qualifications:
  • Interest in book publishing, with a particular enthusiasm for DIY, gardening, craft, and/or nature
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with an ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline-observant, and collaborative environment
  • Proactive problem solver who is creative, positive, goal-driven, and detail-oriented
  • Ideally the candidate will be available to work in the North Adams, MA office three days per week

The compensation range for this position is $48,000- $54,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
