The Marketing Manager of US Wholesale is a high-impact role designed to sit at the intersection of Sales, Marketing, and Retail Execution. This individual is responsible for leading the strategic "Better In-Store" experience, managing complex retail project lifecycles, and ensuring Skullcandy's brand and financial objectives are realized across all US Wholesale partners.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Retail Project Management
  • End-to-End Execution: Lead the development, procurement, and deployment of high-impact retail fixtures.
  • Vendor & Agency Management: Oversee relationships with third-party vendors (e.g., BDS, Turnkey, etc) to ensure projects are delivered on time, under budget, and to brand standards.
  • Operational Agility: Navigate complex merchant transitions and store layout changes, particularly within Big Box environments like Walmart and Best Buy.
  1. Sales Enablement & Channel Growth
  • Retail Partner Integration: Act as the primary strategic connector between Product and Wholesale Sales, translating NPI (New Product Introductions) into retail-ready assets.
  • Custom Product Solutions: Ideate and bring to life channel-specific concepts, such as custom blister packs and pallet programs for Club and Discount channels.
  • Tradeshow Leadership: Manage and execute the brand's presence at key industry events (CES, Best Buy, Ace Hardware, Planet Fitness), ensuring booth strategy aligns with sales objectives.
  1. Financial Stewardship ("Company-First Finance")
  • Cost Optimization: Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities in sourcing and packaging.
  • Asset Management: Track and maintain the health of regional fixture programs, ensuring a high ROI on all physical retail investments.
  1. Digital & Visual Excellence
  • Digital Shelf Management: Standardize and optimize Product Detail Pages (PDP) for major accounts like Walmart.com and Target+, ensuring premium brand imagery and consistency.
  • Brand Advocacy: Ensure every retail touchpoint-physical or digital-reflects Skullcandy's premium market positioning.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Experience: 5+ years in Marketing, Sales Operations, or Retail Project Management within the Consumer Electronics or Lifestyle Apparel space.
  • Execution Focus: Proven track record of managing 500+ unit display rollouts and large-scale tradeshow logistics.
  • Agility: Ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment and manage a high volume of projects with a "decision tree" mentality.
  • Communication: Exceptional "connector" skills; able to bridge the gap between creative designers and account managers.
