Marketing Manager - Trauma

Are you an experienced medical device marketer and people leader looking for your next challenge? Join Stryker's Trauma division as a Marketing Manager, where you'll lead a team of two marketers, partner closely with sales leaders, and drive the strategy behind a portfolio that helps surgeons treat complex fractures and traumatic injuries.

This is a highly visible leadership role, ideal for someone with a strong MedTech background who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing people, and can translate market insights into commercial success. We're particularly interested in candidates who have built their careers within medical devices, with experience in orthopaedics, trauma, sports medicine, or other surgical specialties. Candidates with a background in implant sales, product management, or strategic marketing within MedTech are especially encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of two marketers, creating a high-performance culture focused on growth, accountability, and results.
  • Own the marketing strategy and execution for Stryker's Trauma portfolio across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership and field teams to understand customer needs and identify opportunities to accelerate growth.
  • Develop and execute portfolio plans, market development initiatives, product launches, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Analyse market trends, competitive activity, customer insights, and commercial performance to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with regional and global marketing partners to ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
  • Drive pricing, positioning, and value proposition strategies that strengthen market leadership.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders across sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, and leadership teams.
  • Manage marketing budgets and maximise return on investment across key initiatives.
  • Ensure marketing activities drive measurable business outcomes and support the achievement of commercial objectives.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience within the medical device industry.
  • Proven leadership experience, including building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a demonstrated ability to partner effectively with sales organisations to drive results.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans in a complex healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within orthopaedics, trauma, sports medicine, or a related surgical specialty.
  • Previous success in implant sales, product management, downstream marketing, or strategic marketing roles.
  • Deep understanding of the hospital and operating theatre environment.
  • Experience launching products, driving portfolio growth, and influencing customer adoption.
  • MBA or postgraduate marketing qualification is advantageous.

Why Join This Team?

  • Lead a high-impact portfolio within one of the world's leading MedTech organisations.
  • Develop and mentor a talented marketing team while influencing business strategy.
  • Partner with experienced commercial leaders and industry experts across ANZ and the broader organisation.
  • Work with innovative products and technologies that improve patient outcomes every day.
  • Access structured leadership development and career growth opportunities.
  • Benefit from paid parental leave and childcare assistance programs.
  • Participate in employee share purchase opportunities.
  • Access wellbeing resources and employee assistance programs.
  • Enjoy volunteer leave to support causes important to you.
  • Be recognised through employee and team recognition programs.
