About The Opportunity

As Marketing Manager, Greater China, you will be responsible for delivering the brands’ global strategic multi-channel marketing plan within the Mainland China market and Hong Kong market with a strong focus on digital marketing and events, aimed to support client acquisition, retention and growth.

The role requires an individual who can work well under pressure, multi-task and prioritise their work according to changing business objectives and requirements.

Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, as you will be working closely with the global marketing team, regional brand leadership team, internal teams, external suppliers and corporate clients. You will also be responsible for global strategic projects as defined by the Global and Regional Head of Marketing.

As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for creating and deploying global campaigns and delivering a regional multi-channel marketing strategy with a strong focus on digital marketing, as well as establishing a comprehensive ROI reporting structure for all activities undertaken.

This role requires a hard-working individual who can combine both creative and analytical thinking to implement a strategic plan which delivers on the brand’s objectives.

Key duties & responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy, Plan and Campaign Execution

  • Align and execute Global and Local Marketing Strategy, Plans and Campaigns following brand guidelines and standards
  • Provide regional insights and recommendations to improve marketing initiatives that support business objectives, keeping their finger on the pulse of competitor and market trends
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure the success of campaigns
  • Be the local brand ambassador to share nuances with global and regional leaders

Digital Marketing & Social Media Management

  • Manage Chinese Social Media Platforms such as WeChat and Baidu. This includes creating the right content strategy and executing tactics to drive followers, acquisition and engagement.
  • Effectively manage digital and social media marketing campaigns per budget with continuous testing, analysing, tracking and reporting of results (supported by local agency).
  • Ensure global content is translated with accuracy, aligned to local nuance, and deployed into local digital channels.

Event Management & Execution

  • Manage and execute events and exhibitions, working closely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong post-event follow up skills, providing post-event report
  • Explore opportunities to expand the brand’s presence at local events not limited to conferences and seminars

Public Relations & Communications

  • Work closely with PR and Communications Manager to ensure press releases are translated accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Support PR and Communications Manager with award submissions, speaking opportunities and more
  • Assist the team with written content in Mandarin not limited to website, social media, and marketing materials

Budgeting & Reporting

  • Monitors marketing budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to forecasts
  • Prepare and share monthly marketing performance reports with management

Job Requirements & Competencies:

  • Experience managing Chinese social media and web platforms specifically WeChat & Baidu
  • Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, to interpret results, draw conclusions and provide recommendations
  • Excellent track record in 360 marketing, and lead generation, to achieve ambitious targets
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to always check for accuracy and correctness, especially English to Mandarin translations
  • Experience working remotely from a wider team based out of Asia
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Communication, Journalism, Marketing or Business.
