Job Description

The Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and managing all marketing initiatives for the casino. This role owns promotions, loyalty marketing, advertising, digital content, and customer communications, and works closely with leadership to drive visitation, engagement, and revenue. The Marketing Manager serves as the primary marketing resource for the property and is responsible for providing strategic marketing recommendations that support gaming, food and beverage, entertainment, and overall business objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

Site Marketing Programs & Promotions

  • Plan, manage, and execute all site marketing programs, including casino promotions and campaigns, VIP events and loyalty initiatives, prize packages and special events, property décor, signage, and collateral placement
  • Manage all logistical details for promotions and events from concept through execution
  • Ensure promotions are delivered accurately, on time, and in compliance with regulatory requirements, gaming regulations, responsible gaming standards, company policies, and licensing requirements.

Marketing Planning & Budget Management

  • Support the development of the annual site marketing plan and budget
  • Manage ongoing tracking of marketing spend, promotional costs, and Bonus Play
  • Monitor performance of campaigns and adjust tactics as needed to maximize ROI
  • Analyze campaign effectiveness and business results to identify opportunities for increased visitation, customer retention, and revenue growth.

Loyalty & Player Marketing

  • Develop and execute strategies to leverage and grow player loyalty programs
  • Oversee the creation, segmentation, and execution of gaming offers
  • Resolve customer account issues related to marketing programs liaising with casino staff, customers, or BCLC as required

Advertising, Digital & Communications

  • Coordinate advertising campaigns as needed
  • Manage direct mail and email marketing campaigns
  • Manage the casino’s website, digital content, and site-level social media, including casino promotions, food and beverage specials, and entertainment and events
  • Coordinate the development and review of creative assets, ensuring compliance with brand standards, gaming regulation, and promotional requirements.

Data, Targeting & Systems

  • Use SQL to prepare and maintain customer mailing lists based on defined criteria
  • Coordinate mailers within the offers system, including assigning targeted players to offers, and creating barcodes, valid dates, and offer descriptions
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of marketing data and campaign execution.
  • Prepare regular reporting on campaign performance, customer response rates, player reinvestments, and return on investment.

Entertainment & Event Marketing

  • Coordinate marketing support for entertainment programming, special events, and VIP parties.
  • Develop and execute promotional plans to maximize attendance and customer engagement.
  • Work with internal and external partners to ensure successful event promotion and execution.

Food & Beverage Marketing

  • Partner with Food and Beverage leadership to develop and promote dining offers, seasonal campaigns, and special events.
  • Support revenue growth through integrated gaming and food and beverage marketing initiatives.

Community Partnerships

  • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, tourism organizations, community groups, and sponsorship partners.
  • Manage external partnerships, including printers, promotional vendors, and advertising partners.
  • Obtain quotes, manage project costs, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with the Site Lead and department heads to align marketing initiatives with overall business objectives
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure smooth execution of marketing activities

Education and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in casino, gaming, hospitality, or entertainment marketing
  • Strong experience executing promotions, loyalty programs, and direct marketing campaigns, guest initiatives, and campaign performance analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems, direct mail, and email marketing
  • Working knowledge of SQL for list generation and targeting
  • Experience managing websites and digital content (WordPress experience preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Comfortable operating independently and prioritizing in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, and stakeholder relationships.

Minimum Salary (CAD $)75000.00 - Midpoint Salary (CAD $)80,000.00 - Maximum Salary (CAD $) 85,000.00
