Job Description

4 days per week in office - Calgary office


Working closely with the Market Programs Senior Manager, this dynamic position requires developing and delivering on marketing tactics and initiatives aligned with growth priorities and the regional plans, servicing our Calgary and Vancouver offices.

It combines both strategic marketing development and rigor in-market execution as they will work directly with office managing partners to grow the brand, build relationships with key influencers and increase revenue.

You will be focusing on:

Market strategy

  • Understand regional plans and identify targeted marketing strategies that support and advance the business objectives
  • Lead and develop creative marketing campaigns and programs that extend our market reach and enhance brand exposure; determine the methods, processes and steps to achieve results
  • Create and maintain a program to build our relationship with key clients, and amplify the profile of select lawyers and matters to demonstrate the depth of our talent across key markets
  • Enable communications and connectivity of marketing programs and relationship development
  • Responsible for understanding and analyzing the competitive landscape working with leadership to help ensure we have a competitive offering
  • Keep current on trends, changes, and best practices as well as new and upcoming platforms
  • Oversee market program related internal communications

Sponsorship

  • Pro-actively identify sponsorship, donation and industry-led associations opportunities
  • Assess, research and provide recommendations showcasing overall cost and outcomes
  • Oversee content creation including messaging, advertisements and brand inclusions
  • Leverage sponsorship, track and report on outcome

Events and client hosting

  • Proactively recommend regional firm-led events, client hosting opportunities and ticketing
  • Define goals and objectives in all aspects of the event
  • Identify speakers and topics
  • Oversee content creation including invitation and speeches
  • Oversee the targeting and creation of key client lists

What you bring to the role:

  • A minimum of 10-12 years of experience in business-to-business marketing, communications and/or business development, preferably in the professional services industry
  • Ability to manage multiple, disparate projects through to completion, interacting with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Active listener to hear and understand opportunities and challenges
  • Advanced knowledge and a mastery of various marketing tools and processes
  • Quick problem solver
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience with high level collaboration with one or more work teams on a regional, national and sometimes global level
