Strategy and values

The Agri-Tech Centre’s mission is to accelerate the adoption of technology across UK agriculture and food production. We connect the people and organisations needed to turn promising ideas into solutions that work in the real world. As a trusted, independent national organisation with strong regional relationships, we turn insight into action, help the sector act on shared priorities and support a more productive, profitable, resilient and sustainable agri-food economy for the UK.

Everything we do is underpinned by our organisational values: we do the right thing with integrity, accountability and respect for others; we inspire and innovate through curiosity and proactive thinking; we make a difference by focusing on meaningful future impact; and we build and connect through collaboration, trust and strong relationships.

Job purpose

The Marketing Manager plans, manages and delivers the UK Agri-Tech Centre’s marketing activity, combining strategic planning with hands-on delivery. The role owns the organisation’s external marketing channels, including the website, email marketing, newsletters and social media, and ensures the brand and its sub-brands are represented consistently at every touchpoint. Working through HubSpot and other digital tools, the Marketing Manager develops campaigns that increase awareness, attract and engage priority audiences, generate leads, strengthen customer relationships and support commercial income growth.

The role sets marketing plans, budgets, performance measures and reporting, using evidence to improve reach, engagement and results. It works closely with programme, engagement and commercial colleagues to translate organisational priorities into clear, targeted activity. The Marketing Manager also manages external suppliers and agencies and leads a small team comprising a Marketing Coordinator and Content Creator. Public relations and internal communications sit outside the role.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and deliver integrated marketing plans and campaigns aligned with organisational priorities, audience needs and commercial goals.

· Own and improve external digital channels, including the website, email marketing, newsletters and social media.

· Lead HubSpot campaign delivery, database segmentation, automation, lead management, reporting and continuous improvement.

· Protect and strengthen the UK Agri-Tech Centre brand and sub-brands, ensuring consistent use across all external touchpoints.

· Set budgets, KPIs and reporting for marketing activity; monitor spend, performance and return, and recommend improvements.

· Lead the Marketing Coordinator and Content Creator, manage agencies and suppliers, and work closely with programme, engagement and commercial teams.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

· Strong experience in a marketing management role, with evidence of planning and delivering successful multi-channel campaigns.

· Hands-on experience of HubSpot or a comparable CRM and marketing automation platform, including segmentation, workflows and reporting.

· Experience managing websites, email marketing, newsletters, social media and digital content, with sound knowledge of SEO and analytics.

· Strong analytical skills and experience setting KPIs, managing budgets, evaluating performance and turning data into practical action.

Additional Information

· The role operates on a hybrid basis, with the office location and working pattern confirmed as part of the appointment.

· UK travel and occasional work outside normal hours may be required to support events, campaigns and organisational priorities.

· Experience line-managing and developing a small team, alongside briefing and managing agencies, freelancers and suppliers.

· Excellent written, verbal, project-management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work across teams and manage competing priorities.
