Job Description
The Marketing Manager plays a critical role in supporting and contributing to brand governance, category and portfolio initiatives, product marketing, and cross-functional marketing operations across the organization.
This role works closely with internal stakeholders to help maintain brand consistency, support category and portfolio strategy discussions, contribute to product and commercialization initiatives, and coordinate marketing execution across multiple functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, business-minded, and capable of balancing strategic thinking with strong execution and coordination skills.
Essential Job Functions
• Brand Governance, Marketing Operations & Content
◦ Direct the maintenance and implementation of corporate brand guidelines, visual identity systems, and messaging frameworks across digital, print, and regional marketing materials.
◦ Partner with cross-functional teams, regional branches, and external vendors to ensure brand consistency and compliance across all customer-facing materials.
◦ Spearhead category and product-focused marketing initiatives aligned with company growth priorities.
◦ Oversee social media and content marketing initiatives, including campaign strategy, content planning, asset management, and external creative/vendor communication.
◦ Evaluate marketing activities and campaign effectiveness through KPI reporting, business updates, and execution reviews.
• Portfolio Strategy & Management
◦ Direct portfolio management initiatives, including SKU rationalization, category reviews, and product lifecycle evaluations.
◦ Analyze sales performance, margin trends, inventory complexity, and market data to identify portfolio optimization opportunities.
◦ Lead cross-functional discussions with Product Management, Procurement, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to establish and execute actionable next steps.
◦ Drive category prioritization, assortment reviews, and portfolio-related business discussions.
• Product Marketing & Product Enhancement
◦ Formulate category positioning, product enhancement initiatives, pricing strategies, and commercialization plans.
◦ Lead product evaluations, consumer tastings, and sensory reviews to drive product quality and market fit assessments.
◦ Shape product marketing direction by synthesizing consumer insights, market trends, and customer feedback.
◦ Direct internal stakeholders to execute product launches, packaging updates, and commercialization initiatives.
• Cross-Functional Coordination & Execution
◦ Manage complex projects across Marketing, Product Management, Procurement, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, QA, and external vendors to ensure timely execution and strategic alignment.
◦ Drive departmental communication and follow-through to transition projects seamlessly from planning into execution.
◦ Oversee day-to-day relationships and operations with creative agencies, designers, production vendors, and marketing partners.
◦ Establish and monitor timelines, deliverables, and project updates across multiple ongoing initiatives.
Experience/ Training/ Education
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a closely related field.
• 5 years of experience in marketing, brand management, product marketing, category/portfolio support, or related functions within food, CPG, distribution, retail, or related industries.
• Experience supporting cross-functional projects across Marketing, Product Management, Procurement, Sales, Supply Chain, QA, and external vendors.
• Experience developing or supporting brand assets, social/digital content, trade show materials, sales tools, or customer-facing marketing programs.
• Experience using Excel, Power BI, dashboards, or similar tools to analyze sales, SKUs, margin, or business performance.
• Familiarity with food packaging, labeling, product evaluation, sensory testing, or commercialization processes preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability
• Comprehensive understanding of corporate identity systems, brand equity preservation, and cross-channel messaging frameworks.
• Familiarity with SKU rationalization, product lifecycle management, margin analysis, inventory complexity, and assortment optimization.
• Working knowledge of go-to-market strategies, pricing mechanics, packaging updates, and product launch lifecycles.
• Understanding of digital, print, and regional marketing execution, alongside content strategy and social media management.
• Basic familiarity with procurement, sales, quality assurance (QA), and supply chain dynamics that impact product availability and commercial timelines.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives, establish timelines, track deliverables, and drive projects from planning to execution.
• Proficiency in evaluating marketing campaign effectiveness, analyzing sales performance, and interpreting market data and KPI metrics.
• Strong cross-functional facilitation skills to align internal teams (Product Management, Sales, Procurement, Operations) and direct external vendors or creative agencies.
• Skill in translating consumer research, market trends, and sensory/tasting feedback into actionable product positioning and marketing direction.
• Strong analytical and business judgment with the ability to interpret sales trends, margin structure, inventory complexity, and basic P&L impact.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to summarize discussions, align teams, and translate complex information into clear next steps.
• Ability to think strategically about portfolio growth and brand vision while maintaining a strong grasp of day-to-day tactical execution.
• Capacity to navigate overlapping priorities, shifting project timelines, and diverse stakeholder requirements across multiple departments.
• Ability to synthesize complex business data (margins, inventory, sales trends) to recommend and execute clear portfolio optimizations.
• Ability to build and sustain collaborative working relationships with internal partners and external creative or production vendors.
• Solid understanding of food industry dynamics, including consumer trends, Asian food categories, operational constraints, and supply chain impact.
Working Conditions
Work in a comfortable office environment. Occasional extended hours to meet deadlines. Marketing projects may require on-call availability, including weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays. Managers may be required to travel domestically or internationally for business purposes, such as attending parent-company meetings, visiting branch offices, or handling marketing tasks.
