Job Purpose

The Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and executing direct marketing campaigns. This individual manages marketing initiatives across various channels, including email, direct mail, print, display, and social media. The Marketing Manager will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure campaigns are aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Understands the competitive environment and industry landscape.

  • Partners with leadership on specific areas of Marketing support, development of new collateral, and training needs.

  • Works with the internal Creative team and Marketing Agencies to aide in creative development.

  • Partners with the Digital Marketing team to streamline messaging in a consistent way to consumers.

  • Analyzes campaign performance and optimizes strategies to enhance member engagement and drive sales growth.

  • Conducts market research to further define and segment customer space for better targeting, lead gen, reporting, etc.

  • Works with key members of the Marketing leadership team to leverage marketing automation, define success, and measure ROI.

  • Facilitates promotional support for virtual events and conferences.

  • Shares responsibility for compliance routing, reviews, and processes.

  • Serves as a resource for the sales force for questions on marketing materials.

  • Strong direct to consumer marketing skills.

  • Proven track record of successful campaign execution.

  • Creativity and vision for taking abstract concepts and developing into tangible materials.

  • Must be a self-starter with creative ability.

  • Vision for future marketing opportunities with the ability to address them proactively.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.

  • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proven ability to pay attention to detail.

  • Strong ability to problem solve and find resolutions.

  • Excellent customer service skills with ability to develop strong relationships.

  • Ability to work a demanding schedule to see projects through to completion.

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience required.

  • 5+ years of marketing experience in the financial services industry with strong industry and annuity knowledge required.

  • Direct to consumer marketing experience required.

  • Additional financial industry designations preferred.
