Key Responsibilities
Marketing Manager is responsible for the communication and maintenance of global brand values, aligning market and brand strategies, providing a clear vision and position to the brand, and keeping track of business performance, opportunities and threats. The marketing manager also acts as the direct contact for all commercial and marketing activities with both retailers and the brand.
Brand Strategy
· Plan, develop and implement marketing strategies in the market to achieve the designated brand’s objectives.
· Have an acute awareness of brand principles and communicate same to all clients/retailers
· Co-ordinate with Marketing/Commercial team on all aspects of planning, budgeting, and implementation of events/PR/Media activities.
· Recommend wholesale/retail prices for the designated brands/products as per market requirements, keeping in mind the competition.
· Planning and execution of Marketing plans including ATL and BTL activations as per the brand guidelines.
Commercial
· Responsible for preparing and achieving brand P&L.
· Retain and expand distribution as per brand guidelines. Ensure good placements of brands across physical retail stores.
· Manage and execute brands across online platforms as per brand guidelines.
· Monitor the competition in the regions in terms of ATL/BTL activations, pricing analysis, product comparisons Etc
· Working alongside the demand planning on product ordering and forecasting.
· Preparing and controlling A&P budgets & spends, negotiating with the brand for overspends.
· Work alongside the brand trainer to impart brand/product/sales knowledge to the sales team
· Negotiate prices with suppliers to retain maximum gross margins and remain competitive in the market.
Client Relationship:
· Create a rapport with each client in order to sustain good working relations.
· Ensure that all clients have sufficient and applicable tools as per principle to optimize sell out.
· Preparation of marketing calendar and alignment with retailers on the product launches/Marketing plans.
· Negotiate and decide on the visibility across all retail channels as per the A&P Budgets
Reporting:
· Compile the business review elements to be discussed periodically with the brand owner.
· Support the country managers/commercial manager on monthly group reports.
