Job Description

Marketing Lead

Application Deadline: 30 June 2026

Department: Marketing & Communications

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Hawthorne, California

Reporting To: Andy DeMatos

Compensation: $117,000 - $135,000 / year

Venturi Astrolab, Inc. (Astrolab) is pioneering new ways to explore and operate on distant planetary bodies. We are singularly focused on designing, building, and operating a fleet of multi-purpose commercial planetary rovers to extend and enhance humanity’s presence in the solar system. We are seeking motivated, creative, and exceptional people to join our world-class team.

As our Marketing Lead, you will be the core execution engine driving our digital presence and campaign deployment as we build the future of lunar operations. In this role, there is no pre-built playbook. You will take high-level company milestones and turn them into cohesive, end-to-end campaign plans, present them to leadership, and physically push them live across our social, email, and digital channels. You will spend your days collaborating cross-functionally with our engineering, sales, and social leadership, translating complex aerospace capabilities into our brand voice, high-impact content for investors, space agencies, and the public. From setting up our foundational CRM workflows and scaling output with modern AI tools to managing the logistics for content productions, you will handle whatever gets thrown over the fence with agility, speed, and a relentless focus on execution.

What you'll do:

Campaign Development & Planning
  • Integrated Campaign Planning: Translate company milestones and product updates into cohesive, cross-functional campaign plans and marketing calendars.
  • Strategic Presentation: Build and present clear, concise marketing and campaign proposals to leadership and cross-functional teams, establishing buy-in on timelines and deliverables.
  • Audience & Product Fluency: Rapidly absorb highly technical aerospace and hardware engineering details, translating complex lunar rover capabilities into clear, resonant narratives for partners, investors, and the public.

Digital & Social Media Execution
  • Omnichannel Execution: Take full ownership of deploying multi-channel digital campaigns across email, web, and social media platforms.
  • Social Architecture Support: Partner with our strategic leadership to handle the day-to-day tactical execution, scheduling, publishing, and front-line management of our social feeds.
  • Modern Workflow Leverage: Utilize advanced digital workflows and AI productivity tools to scale output, optimize messaging, and keep marketing operations exceptionally lean and agile.

Content Production & Asset Creation
  • End-to-End Content Delivery: Script, draft, and assemble high-quality marketing collateral, copy variants, and digital assets across text, visual, or email formats.
  • Brand Stewardship: Maintain a sharp eye for precision, ensuring all external communication reflects our core brand voice, positioning frameworks, and strict technical accuracy without sacrificing execution speed.

Operational Foundations & Baseline Tracking
  • Infrastructure Management: Own the day-to-day configuration and hygiene of our core marketing stack (CRM database, email automation systems, and digital tools).
  • Performance Visibility: Establish clean, baseline tracking for all active campaigns to deliver simple, actionable performance data to leadership—proving what works and identifying when to pivot.

What you'll bring:

Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience in growth marketing, product marketing, digital execution, or a fast-paced full-stack marketing role.
  • Proven experience drafting integrated campaign plans, presenting them to stakeholders, and executing them end-to-end.
  • Hands-on experience managing and executing daily digital workflows across social media channels, content production, email campaigns, and content distribution platforms.
  • Familiarity with setting up, organizing, or managing CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Attio) and leveraging modern AI productivity tools to scale content output.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle ambiguity and rapidly shift priorities in a startup environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging narratives.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working within an early-stage startup, frontier technology, aerospace, robotics, complex hardware, or an engineering-driven organization.
  • A genuine passion for space exploration, aerospace, or the commercial space ecosystem (deep industry experience is a plus, but a high curiosity factor is required).
  • Familiarity with B2B marketing, government-focused contracting (NASA, DoD), or pitching complex technical capabilities to enterprise partners.
  • Experience coordinating the logistics, branding, and pipeline handoff for industry trade shows, conferences, or executive-level events.

Benefits and Perks

  • Join a team of best-in-class engineers building the foundation of planetary surface exploration
  • Equity ownership in the company
  • Comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and mental health support
  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Flexible PTO and parental leave
  • Home office set up reimbursement
  • Weekly lunch stipend, plus complimentary snacks and beverages on-site
  • Once a month social hour on-site with food and drinks
