Job Description

About Flagright

Flagright is an AI operating system for financial crime compliance used globally by Fortune 500 companies, large banks, fintechs, and fast growing startups. Flagright enables real-time risk detection, automated investigations, and intelligent decisioning, helping compliance teams operate at their full potential in the fight against financial crime.

We operate as a lean, high-performance team with high individual ownership and direct access to leadership.

Our Marketing team drives Flagright’s brand presence, market visibility, and pipeline generation across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

We are hiring a Marketing Operations Intern based in Santa Clara to support the operating system behind our global marketing function. You will work directly with the Head of Global Marketing and collaborate with Content, Design, Sales, Events, Performance Marketing, Product, and Marketing Operations.

This is a hands-on execution role. You will help maintain trackers, coordinate campaigns, organise marketing documentation, clean data, prepare reports, support events, and ensure that owners, deadlines, dependencies, and blockers remain visible.

You will not simply observe the team. You will be expected to take ownership of clearly scoped work, identify gaps, follow through with stakeholders, and help the wider Marketing team execute more effectively.

People Who Thrive at Flagright

  • Have been knocked down before and gotten back up

  • Are resourceful and figure things out with the tools available

  • Have strong opinions, defend them, and change their minds when the evidence changes

  • Take ownership of outcomes rather than waiting for a detailed task list

  • Run toward ambiguity instead of waiting for every detail to be defined

  • Learn quickly because they are genuinely hungry

  • Want to work with direct, no-BS people building something important

People Who Struggle Here

  • Need step-by-step instructions for every task

  • Treat trackers, documentation, follow-ups, or data cleanup as work beneath them

  • Allow blockers to sit without chasing the relevant owner

  • Need priorities and responsibilities to remain predictable

  • Take direct feedback personally

  • Wait for permission when the reasonable next action is already clear

  • Default to saying or thinking, “That’s not my job”

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Team Operations

  • Maintain weekly marketing priorities, project trackers, campaign calendars, hiring trackers, vendor lists, and operating documents

  • Track owners, deadlines, priorities, next actions, dependencies, blockers, and decisions needed across active marketing initiatives

  • Prepare agendas, meeting notes, decisions, action items, and follow-up summaries

  • Follow up with internal owners and surface risks before deadlines are missed

  • Help organise Notion pages, Google Drive folders, asset libraries, and other marketing documentation

  • Keep operating documents accurate, current, and easy for the wider team to use

  • Turn recurring workflows into clear, repeatable standard operating procedures

Campaign and Programme Support

  • Support campaign planning through research, briefs, timelines, launch checklists, and coordination documents

  • Help coordinate deliverables across Content, Design, Social, Performance Marketing, Sales, Product, and external partners

  • Maintain campaign calendars and ensure assets, owners, deadlines, approvals, and dependencies are clearly tracked

  • Create and maintain UTM links and campaign naming conventions

  • Support quality assurance across landing pages, emails, social posts, forms, event pages, and campaign assets

  • Test links, forms, confirmation flows, dates, time zones, mobile layouts, and tracking before campaigns launch

  • Help gather campaign results and organise them for post-campaign reviews and internal reporting

Data, CRM, and Reporting Support

  • Clean, organise, and validate campaign and event lead lists

  • Identify duplicates, missing fields, inconsistent data, and incorrect campaign or source tags

  • Support CRM uploads, lead-source tagging, owner mapping, and post-upload reconciliation

  • Help collect weekly and monthly reporting inputs from the Marketing team

  • Maintain simple dashboards and reporting views using spreadsheets or other available tools

  • Surface missing campaign data, unclear ownership, incomplete follow-ups, and reporting inconsistencies

  • Never invent or silently fill in information that cannot be verified

Event Support

  • Support regional Events Leads with marketing-related event preparation and follow-up

  • Help maintain event trackers, target-account lists, invite lists, registration pages, attendee sheets, briefing documents, and asset checklists

  • Coordinate event-related campaign assets and promotional requirements

  • Help track registrations, attendance, meetings booked, leads captured, follow-up status, and pipeline inputs

  • Support post-event lead cleanup, CRM preparation, internal summaries, and recap coordination

  • Ensure event information is properly documented and available to Sales and Marketing stakeholders

The intern supports regional Events Leads but reports to the Head of Global Marketing and does not replace the event owner.

Content and Social Coordination

  • Support Content and Social team members with coordination, scheduling, publishing workflows, and asset tracking

  • Help collect source materials, internal insights, customer proof points, event findings, and subject-matter-expert inputs

  • Maintain organised folders containing drafts, approved assets, and published links

  • Help ensure content is properly connected to the relevant campaign, audience, channel, and deadline

  • Support publishing and distribution workflows without owning content or social strategy

Process Improvement

  • Identify repetitive manual work that could be simplified, standardised, or automated

  • Use spreadsheets, AI tools, no-code systems, and existing platforms to improve routine workflows

  • Document any new process so that other team members can understand and maintain it

  • Recommend practical improvements rather than creating unnecessary systems or administration

Who We Are Looking For

  • Able to work on-site in the Santa Clara office five days per week

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Data Analytics, or a related field

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to write concise, professional updates under time pressure

  • Highly organised and detail-oriented

  • Comfortable maintaining trackers, cleaning data, reviewing documentation, and following up repeatedly

  • Able to manage several active tasks and shifting priorities without losing important details

  • Willing to complete necessary operational and repetitive work properly

  • Able to work independently while escalating genuine risks and decisions early

  • Comfortable communicating directly with senior internal stakeholders

  • Curious about B2B SaaS, financial technology, and go-to-market execution

  • Existing authorisation to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this internship

Preferred Skills

  • Previous internship, academic project, or practical experience in marketing, operations, events, content, or project coordination

  • Familiarity with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel

  • Exposure to HubSpot, Salesforce, Notion, Airtable, Asana, or similar platforms

  • Basic understanding of CRM records, campaign tracking, UTM parameters, or digital analytics

  • Experience supporting events, webinars, email campaigns, landing pages, or social-media workflows

  • Familiarity with Canva, Figma, or basic creative-production tools

  • Interest in AI, automation, fintech, anti-fraud, AML, compliance, or financial crime prevention

Deep expertise in these areas is not required. What matters more is the ability to learn quickly, apply feedback, and produce reliable work.

What We Offer

  • Direct exposure to leadership and influence on publications

  • Product with clear, real-world differentiation

  • High-bar environment focused on execution, learning, and continuous improvement

  • Get equity from day 1 at a Y Combinator startup

  • Work alongside a highly competent, top-tier team, including professionals from Y Combinator, ex AWS, and Palantir

  • Enjoy a low-bureaucracy environment, minimal meetings, and an asynchronous communications culture

Flagright

About Flagright

Flagright sets the modern standard for AI-native transaction monitoring. Built as a highly customizable, risk‑based platform, Flagright deploys in two weeks, the industry’s fastest integration. The platform enables financial institutions to centralize detection, investigation, and reporting of suspicious activity, streamlining regulatory workflows and strengthening financial crime controls. A high-performance, no-code scenario builder with sub-second API response times powers real-time monitoring, supported by tailored rules, dynamic risk profiling, and simulation tools that reduce false positives and improve decision accuracy.

This transaction monitoring foundation is enhanced by fully integrated AML screening that links each transaction and entity to global sanctions and watchlists; dynamic risk scoring that embeds behavioural and contextual risk directly into detection logic; and centralized case management that automates alert triage, investigation workflows, and SAR filing, maintaining audit-readiness across jurisdictions.

Flagright’s AI Forensics suite strengthens compliance operations across four critical areas: screening (reduces false positives in AML checks), monitoring (augments alert investigation capabilities), quality assurance (accelerates QA processes), and governance (simplifies policy management and regulatory compliance).

Financial institutions moving from fragmented tools to Flagright report a 93% reduction in false positives, 80% lower compliance costs, and a 27% drop in operational errors, with implementation typically completed in two weeks. With customers across six continents and offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Singapore, Flagright delivers a transaction monitoring solution that scales with growth and adapts to evolving threats.
