Job Description

Teague Nall and Perkins, Inc. (TNP) is an engineering and design consulting firm serving clients throughout Texas. Our Marketing team has an opening for a Marketing Intern in our Fort Worth office. The successful candidate will be integral to the day-to-day operations of our in-house Marketing and Business Development Team.

As a Marketing Intern, you will work collaboratively with a diverse, highly-creative group of marketing professionals to assist with the execution and preparation of marketing materials. This position includes exposure to a variety of functions that TNP undertakes, including proposal preparation, event planning, photography, social media, and other critical business elements.

Responsibilities/Expectations

  • General clerical duties, including printing, scanning, binding, and delivering marketing materials
  • Monitoring and distributing daily emails pertaining to the team’s work opportunities
  • Maintaining and updating the team’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) database
  • Assisting marketing staff with preparation of proposals, presentations, and graphics
  • Tracking and reordering marketing collateral materials
  • Performing online data research and logging data as directed

Assisting with:

  • Event planning (e.g. coordinating conference registrations, collateral, and various logistics)
  • Tracking team receipts and preparing monthly credit card reconciliations
  • Emailing subconsulting staff, including tracking incoming and outgoing marketing data requests
  • Tracking and logging employee certifications
  • Scheduling and tracking corporate headshots
  • Personally retrieving or delivering marketing documents, supplies, or other items as requested
  • Assisting with planning and execution of marketing events
  • Maintain orderly working space – closet organization, refill printers & copiers, etc.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Requirements

At a minimum, candidates must meet the following educational and professional requirements:

Education/Certification

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, English, Journalism, or related degree
  • Applicant must have a valid Texas driver’s license

Professional

  • Minimum of 0-2 years’ experience
  • Previous experience working at an engineering firm (or similar) and/or with marketing teams is preferred
  • Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with marketing software such as Adobe InDesign and Microsoft SharePoint is preferred
  • Willingness and desire to learn new software via on-the-job training
  • Responsive and results-oriented service to staff
  • Ability to manage and schedule work to meet objectives & deadlines
