The Marketing Insights Strategist reports to the Managing Director, Marketing, and is part of a diverse team of marketing professionals who work together to execute a comprehensive marketing strategy. The ideal candidate will have experience in marketing insights, market research, competitive intelligence, and translating data into strategic recommendations, as these will be your primary responsibilities and are an important component in informing business strategy, product decisions, competitive positioning, and marketing effectiveness. You will lead the development of actionable insights across customer, market, brand, and competitive dimensions, providing the company with proactive insight and foresight generation. You will partner closely with Campaign Management, business unit leaders, and the broader marketing team to ensure research and intelligence are relevant, accessible, and applied to business and marketing decisions. You will be valued as a strategic intelligence partner who brings clarity, perspective, and forward-looking recommendations that strengthen decision-making. The person in this role also: Promotes an environment of teamwork within the department and across the bank. Represents INTRUST Bank in all they do in the community and is focused on the development of new business relationships. Research Strategy & Insight Development

• Lead the design and execution of primary and secondary research initiatives that answer strategic business questions across segments, products, and market opportunities.

• Translate research into actionable insights and forward-looking recommendations, delivering not just findings, but “so what” and “what’s next.”

• Identify emerging trends, customer behavior shifts, and growth opportunities, including those the business has not yet thought to ask about.

• Build and maintain a cadence of strategic intelligence deliverables that create consistent visibility and organizational trust in the insights function.

Voice of Customer & Brand Tracking

• Own and evolve the bank’s voice of customer program, including satisfaction research, relationship feedback, and experience listening across business lines.

• Lead brand tracking efforts to monitor perception, awareness, and positioning over time.

• Report findings to stakeholders with clear implications for marketing strategy and customer experience.

Competitive & Market Intelligence

• Monitor and synthesize competitive intelligence across products, pricing, messaging, and market positioning on an ongoing and proactive basis.

• Analyze market trends and dynamics to surface opportunities and risks relevant to INTRUST’s strategic priorities.

• Deliver intelligence in formats that are accessible and actionable for leadership and business unit partners.

AI Tools & Vendor Oversight

• Evaluate, deploy, and manage AI-powered research tools that automate data collection and reporting, enabling your focus on insight generation and strategic application.

• Manage external research vendors and partners; interpret and challenge outputs with sound judgment.

• Stay current on emerging research technologies and methodologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.

Business Partnership & Stakeholder Advisory

• Serve as an intelligence partner to business units, supporting strategic priorities and business decisions.

• Partner with the Campaign Manager and marketing team to incorporate insights into campaign strategy, briefs, and performance evaluation.

• Communicate complex findings clearly and compellingly to senior leaders and cross-functional partners.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, market research, business, statistics, or related field required. 4–6 years of experience in marketing research, consumer insights, or market intelligence required. Experience translating research and data into strategic business recommendations required. Experience with AI-powered research tools, survey platforms, and data visualization preferred. Financial services or regulated industry experience preferred.

Required Skills and Knowledge: Strong research design and analytical skills across quantitative and qualitative methods. Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, executive-ready insights and recommendations. Proficiency in AI-assisted research tools, survey platforms, and data reporting tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentation and storytelling. Sound business judgment and ability to connect insights to strategic and operational decisions. Intellectual curiosity and a proactive orientation toward identifying opportunities and risks. Effective project management, vendor oversight, and organizational skills. Ability to build credible, trusted partnerships with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
