Salary: $50,000

This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in both marketing strategy and food service operations leadership within a fast-paced campus dining environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving revenue growth, customer engagement, and operational excellence across multiple retail dining locations.

This position is designed for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to build a career in marketing, hospitality, or food service management, while gaining progressive leadership experience.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

Marketing & Engagement (50%)

  • Implement and execute growth strategies to increase meal plan participation and retail dining sales
  • Deploy national and campus-specific promotions, campaigns, and branded programs
  • Plan and coordinate marketing initiatives including events, activations, and product launches
  • Manage and grow campus social media presence, creating engaging and relevant content
  • Communicate marketing activities and campaign performance to key stakeholders
  • Stay current with marketing trends, digital engagement strategies, and industry best practices
  • Support customer satisfaction surveys and assist in analyzing results to improve the student experience
  • Build strong relationships with students, campus groups, and university partners

Food Service Operations (50%) – How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Coordinate daily operations across multiple retail food outlets to ensure efficiency and consistency
  • Lead recruitment, training, performance management, recognition, and development of team members
  • Manage front-of-house and back-of-house operations across locations
  • Oversee cash handling processes including coordination, auditing, and reconciliation
  • Ensure safe work procedures are in place, communicated, and consistently followed
  • Manage inventory including ordering, transfers, and stock control across multiple units
  • Drive consistency in food quality, service standards, and operational execution
  • Maintain high levels of client and customer satisfaction to support account retention
  • Support achievement of financial targets and contribute to future business growth plans
  • Lead and support a diverse team across multiple locations to deliver operational excellence
  • Identify and implement new initiatives to enhance the retail dining experience
  • Collaborate with other campus food service units as required

Growth & Development Opportunities

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in food service or hospitality management (co-op or progressive experience considered)
  • Experience managing multiple retail or food service units is an asset

Skills & Competencies

  • Demonstrated financial and budget management skills
  • Strong leadership ability with experience in coaching and supervising teams
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience in recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing execution
  • Ability to work independently with strong initiative and a team-oriented mindset

Certifications & Requirements

  • Food Safety Certification
  • First Aid Certification
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
