Our mission is to provide innovative services critical to society, unlocking a cleaner, better and more profitable future. Working towards this goal, Volue has become a leading technology supplier and enabler of the green transition, helping energy companies simplify and optimise everyday operations.
We are now looking for a Marketing Events Strategist to shape how Volue uses events to connect with customers, strengthen relationships and grow our business across Europe.
Events at Volue are much more than opportunities for brand visibility. They are an important business tool: a place where customer relationships grow, commercial opportunities develop, our teams learn what the market needs, and our people connect with the industry. From our own flagship events, such as Power Summits and Trading Expert Talks, to exhibitions, trade shows and industry conferences, you will help us make sure every event has a clear purpose and creates meaningful value.
This role represents an evolution from traditional event management. Rather than focusing primarily on execution, you will help shape the strategy behind our European event portfolio — deciding which events matter, why we participate, who we want to reach, and what we want each experience to achieve, whether that is pipeline, customer retention, market insight or reputation.
What you will be doing to make a difference:
Develop and lead Volue's annual events strategy across Europe, working with key stakeholders to identify the right mix of owned and third-party events and define the business purpose behind each one.
Shape the event portfolio around clear objectives, such as pipeline generation, customer learning, retention, market insight and brand reputation.
Work closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Marketing, leadership and regional teams to define event objectives, messaging and target audiences.
Develop and deliver Volue's flagship events, including Power Summits and Trading Expert Talks, covering format, content, speakers, venues, logistics and on-site delivery.
Select, evaluate and manage Volue's participation in third-party exhibitions, trade shows and industry conferences, including sponsorships, booth concepts and on-site representation.
Coordinate end-to-end event delivery, including budgets, venues, logistics, speakers, partners, suppliers and on-site management.
Create thoughtful event experiences that encourage meaningful conversations, customer engagement and commercial opportunities throughout the attendee journey — from registration and content to networking, demonstrations and follow-up.
Partner closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure events contribute to the pipeline while also working with Product and Customer Success to capture valuable customer and market insight.
Turn Volue's own events into genuine learning opportunities, creating feedback loops that inform product development and go-to-market decisions.
Establish and improve lead capture, nurturing and feedback processes using CRM and marketing automation tools, with clear ownership and measurable outcomes.
Lead pre- and post-event activities, including invitations, campaigns, follow-up, nurturing and internal debriefs.
Build strong relationships with external vendors, agencies, exhibition organisers and industry associations across Europe.
Manage event budgets and evaluate impact through meaningful measures such as pipeline influenced, leads generated, customer engagement, retention signals and market knowledge — not simply attendance figures.
Represent Volue consistently and authentically across German- and English-speaking markets.
Continuously explore new formats, ideas and ways of working to make our events more relevant, engaging and valuable.
What you need to succeed:
Proven experience in event management, event strategy or a related field, ideally within B2B and a technology, energy or industrial environment.
Experience delivering both owned events such as summits, conferences or expert talks and third-party events such as exhibitions and trade shows.
A strong understanding of the role events can play in a broader commercial and customer strategy. You are curious about what makes an event successful and enjoy connecting activity with meaningful business outcomes.
Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
Strong collaboration skills and an ability to build trusted relationships across Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success and leadership teams.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to bring structure to complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, deadlines and priorities.
Confidence managing budgets, suppliers, agencies and negotiations.
A creative and curious mindset. You enjoy developing event concepts, trying new approaches and continuously improving the experience for customers and colleagues.
An ability to work independently while staying connected and collaborative in a remote, international environment.
Willingness to travel regularly across Europe.
You don't need to meet every single requirement to apply. If you are excited about the opportunity and believe you could make a difference at Volue, we would be happy to hear from you.
