Job Description

CHANNEL FACTORY

Marketing Event Manager, EMEA

Maternity Cover · Fixed-term Contract (6 months with possibility to extend)

Location: London, Soho Type: Full-time Level: Senior / Mid-senior

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Event Manager to cover a period of maternity leave within our EMEA marketing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior, high-impact role at one of the most dynamic adtech companies in the market.

You will own the full event lifecycle across EMEA, from strategy and planning through to on-site execution and post-event analysis, while collaborating closely with sales, marketing, and local market teams to deliver best-in-class experiences that drive pipeline and brand growth.

We are targeting a start date by 1 June to allow for a thorough, structured handover with our current Senior Marketing Event Manager, EMEA, ensuring full continuity across all planned programmes and supplier relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Planning

Develop and execute the EMEA event marketing strategy aligned with global objectives.

Own the full event lifecycle - from strategy through execution to post-event analysis.

Set and manage timelines, priorities, and deliverables across multiple concurrent events.

Identify new event opportunities to drive brand awareness and pipeline growth.

Logistics & Operations

Research, source, and negotiate with vendors, venues, and suppliers.

Plan and manage all event logistics, including venue, catering, travel, and supplier coordination.

Lead pre-event planning: agenda, speakers, and delegate experience.

Ensure seamless on-site execution and stakeholder coordination.

Travel as required for site visits, planning, and event execution.

Promotion & Communications

Collaborate with our Digital Marketing Manager and Social Media Manager to plan and manage the event promotion plan and all associated assets (event landing pages, invitations, LinkedIn posts).

Collaborate with sales and marketing teams for integrated event promotion and delivery.

Tailor events and communications to local markets and audiences across EMEA.

Performance & Partnerships

Manage event budgets and drive cost-efficiency without compromising quality.

Track and analyse event performance - attendance, engagement, and ROI.

Optimise future events based on data, stakeholder feedback, and market insights.

Support regional and global marketing initiatives as required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

6+ years proven experience in event marketing, ideally within B2B, adtech, media, or a related industry.

Demonstrated ability to own the full event lifecycle independently - from strategy to post-event reporting.

Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple events across different markets simultaneously.

Experience managing budgets, negotiating with vendors, and driving cost-efficiency.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills - you are confident presenting to senior leadership and working with cross-functional teams.

A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment.

Experience working across EMEA markets; sensitivity to local cultures and audiences is a strong advantage.

Familiarity with marketing tools and event management software such as Hubspot, Splash Event.

Willingness and ability to travel across the EMEA region as needed.

BENEFITS

Holiday: 15 working days for a 6mo contract (pro-rata of 30 working days per year)

Office: Beautiful office in the heart of Soho, London (~3 days per week in-office)

Culture: A genuinely collaborative team with regular offsites, socials, and events

WORKING CONDITIONS & START DATE

Location: Hybrid role (Tue-Thurs on-site) based at our London Office: 19-20 Berners Street with travels to events

Reporting: This role reports directly to the Marketing Director, EMEA.

Start Date: Early June to allow sufficient time for a comprehensive handover with the current Senior Marketing Event Manager, EMEA.

Contract Duration: 6 months renewable (Maternity Cover)
