We are seeking a Marketing Engineer to support our AEO/GEO (Answer Engine Optimization / Generative Engine Optimization) program across our brand portfolio. This is an execution-focused role responsible for auditing, implementing, and optimizing onsite content, product feeds, schema markup, bot access, and measurement against AEO/GEO strategy and goals defined by the client team.

• Support the execution and optimization of AEO/GEO initiatives across multiple brands.
• Improve content discoverability, structured data quality, and AI crawler accessibility.
• Drive visibility, citation share, and AI-attributed traffic through effective implementation and measurement.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across AI-generated content, schema, and feed enrichment outputs.
Technology Platforms You Will Work On
• Schema.org and JSON-LD structured data implementations.
• Product Information Management (PIM) systems and product feed pipelines.
• AI crawler and bot access management technologies, including robots.txt and meta directives.
• CDN platforms such as Akamai, Cloudflare, Fastly, or equivalent.
• SEO and monitoring tools including Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, and web analytics platforms.
• AI-driven workflow tools such as Airtable or equivalent.
• AI tools including ChatGPT, Claude, or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct AEO/GEO audits across brand websites covering content structure, schema implementation, product feed completeness, and bot accessibility. Document findings and recommendations.
• Implement onsite content optimizations including Q&A blocks, comparison content, atomic answers, and freshness signals.
• Implement and maintain schema.org and JSON-LD markup across product, category, and editorial pages.
• Execute product feed enrichment and attribute updates across PIM and feed pipelines.
• Configure and maintain AI crawler access policies.
• Review and analyze CDN bot traffic logs and recommend adjustments.
• Review AI-generated content drafts, schema suggestions, and feed enrichment outputs before publishing.
• Operate within AI-driven workflow tools for task routing, content QA, and publishing.
• Monitor and report on AEO/GEO metrics including citation share, AI visibility, traffic, and revenue.
• Support A/B test setup, execution, and result documentation.
• Collaborate with merchandising, content, SEO, and platform engineering teams.
• Maintain implementation documentation and technical reference materials.
Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience in technical SEO, marketing engineering, or related roles.
• Strong SQL skills; working knowledge of Python.
• Hands-on experience implementing schema.org and JSON-LD structured data at scale.
• Experience with PIM systems and product feed management.
• Working knowledge of robots.txt configuration and AI bot access policies.
• Familiarity with CDN bot traffic log analysis.
• Understanding of LLM retrieval and citation mechanisms.
• Experience with Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, and analytics platforms.
• Experience with AI-driven workflow tools such as Airtable.
• Ability to review and QA AI-generated content and structured data.
• Experience with A/B testing setup and reporting.
• Daily use of AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude.
• Strong documentation and collaboration skills.
• Retail or e-commerce catalog experience.
• Experience with citation tracking platforms.
• Experience working with multi-brand portfolios.
• Ability to work with overlap into US Pacific working hours.
