Monsignor Slade Catholic School, a PreK2-8 Catholic school in Glen Burnie, MD, is seeking a full-time, 12-month Marketing & Digital Media Manager to serve our school community. You anticipate needs, stay ahead of deadlines and trends, and independently manage a calendar of school communications, marketing initiatives, and social media content. You understand how effective marketing can strengthen brand awareness, enrollment, family engagement, and connections with the broader community.

You are skilled at creating compelling, high-quality digital content and can adapt messaging and materials to effectively reach diverse audiences. You are comfortable collaborating with leadership, colleagues, families, students, and external partners. You see opportunities, take initiative, and bring energy and purpose to strengthening the visibility, reputation, and engagement of Monsignor Slade Catholic School.

Essential Functions:

Communications (15%)

• Coordinate and distribute the school's mass communications through the PowerSchool system.
• Manage a communication request process for employees and school-affiliated groups (Home & School Association, athletics, parish, etc.) to maintain a balanced communication strategy.
• Produce, design, and distribute a weekly school newsletter by gathering information from faculty, staff, and external partners.
• Communications such as school closure notifications and emergency announcements may require work outside regular business hours and are typically completed remotely.

Marketing (25%)

• Maintain the existing 2026-2027 marketing plan and budget.
• Develop and maintain an annual marketing plan, budget, and calendar for each subsequent school year, aligned with enrollment goals, events, and school priorities.
• Collaborate with the Principal and Admissions Director to execute enrollment-focused marketing initiatives.
• Support paid marketing and advertising campaigns across print and digital platforms.
• Manage and maintain external school profile platforms, including the school's Google Business Profile, Niche, and other relevant sites.
• Assist in the design and development of marketing materials, including flyers, posters, brochures, banners, digital advertisements, and other promotional materials.

Social Media (40%)

• Oversee the school's social media platforms by creating and posting content that highlights student life, academics, events, extracurricular activities, faith formation, and school accomplishments across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Maintain a consistent social media presence, with a minimum of five posts per week during the school year and three posts per week during the summer. Content may include Stories, reposts, photos, graphics, Reels, and short-form video.
• Stay current with social media trends and demonstrate experience with, or a willingness to learn, tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Photoshop, and other short-form video editing platforms.
• Use school-issued photography and videography equipment to support social media and marketing efforts.
• Monitor social media analytics and use performance data to strengthen engagement and expand reach.
• Maintain an organized library of approved photo and video assets for use across marketing, communications, social media, admissions, fundraising, and promotional initiatives.

Website & Digital Platform Management (10%)

• Collaborate with the IT Department to maintain and update the school website.
• Coordinate with the school's website management company regarding website updates and other related needs.
• In collaboration with the Finance and Advancement teams, maintain online fundraising and event platforms as needed.

Administrative Support (10%)

• Attend biweekly meetings with the Principal and department heads.
• Attend annual off-site and/or virtual meetings with the Archdiocese of Baltimore leadership team.
• Provide occasional evening and weekend event coverage for photography, videography, social media, and other marketing or communications needs.

Position Qualifications:

Required

• Experience in social media management, marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
• Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Monsignor Slade Catholic School.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Experience working in a school, nonprofit, Catholic, or other mission-driven organization.
• Experience with website management, digital advertising, analytics, photography, or videography.
• Experience using Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Canva, CapCut, and Adobe Photoshop.

Pay Range: $51,000 - $62,000, Annualized
