Teaching Strategies is an innovative edtech organization focused on connecting teachers, children, and families. As front runners in the early childhood education market, we build dynamic, top-quality digital products that integrate all of the essential elements of a high-quality solution: curriculum, assessment, professional development, and family engagement. We are building a team of results-oriented individuals who will thrive in a collaborative, work-hard/play-hard culture. We pride ourselves on the impact we have on the early childhood field through supporting teachers who are doing the most important work there is, teaching children to become creative, confident thinkers.
The Marketing Development Representative (MDR) is a critical member of the sales organization at Teaching Strategies. This role is designed for high-potential talent with strong instincts, curiosity, and the ability to think beyond the script — while operating within a defined and proven inbound process.
The MDR is responsible for engaging quickly and thoughtfully with Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), qualifying opportunities, and advancing strong prospects through the funnel. This role requires both discipline and judgment. The MDR will assess buying signals, determine next best actions, adhere to qualification criteria and SLA standards, and connect qualified prospects to sales in ways that accelerate conversion and drive revenue.
The MDR will report to the Director of Sales Development and work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Operations. This role plays an important part in strengthening our lead management strategy by identifying patterns in inbound conversations, maintaining data integrity in Salesforce and Salesloft, surfacing meaningful insights and market feedback, and contributing ideas to improve processes that enhance both internal efficiency and customer experience.
