We have an exciting fixed-term opportunity in our Marketing and Communications rōpū of Tātaki Auckland Unlimited (TAU) for a Marketing Coordinator to support the Auckland Live team!

As the Marketing Coordinator, you will assist with a wide variety of tasks including event marketing support, administrative tasks, and driving customer engagement at The Terrace Cafe. You will work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders, working closely with TAU’s centralised Marketing & Communications team.

This role is based at the Aotea Centre and may require occasional work outside of normal office hours as well as weekends.

He kōrero mōu: About you

• Have experience in content creation and knowledge of social media platforms
• Understanding of the importance of attention to detail
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage timelines
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Solid problem-solving skills, with a “can do” attitude
• Growth mindset, ready to learn and develop new skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

You will need:

• At least one year of experience in a marketing/communications role.
• Strong computer literacy, including an understanding of basic design tools like Canva and the Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Social Media skills and know-how in particular Meta and Tik Tok
• The ability to get ‘stuck in’ and a positive attitude on all manner of tasks, big and small.
• The ability to establish an easy rapport with people, manage key relationships and support a range of promoters, creatives and clients.
• A strong interest and passion in the arts, as you will be working with artists, promoters, event producers and performing arts organisations.
• Te reo Māori skills and knowledge are desirable.

• Fixed-term opportunity, full-time role, working 40 hours Monday to Friday, with the requirement from time to time to undertake work outside of normal office hours to fulfil Auckland Live’s marketing needs and support.
