Supports the development and execution of marketing efforts that help win work and strengthen the company’s brand. Collaborates closely with marketing team to contribute to a wide range of projects including pursuit and award content development, data capture and management, event and photography coordination, public relations support, and day-to-day marketing activities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Follows standard McCownGordon procedures and policies to accomplish the following:

Data Capture & Pursuit Support

  • Helps capture and maintain project, personnel and company information, ensuring data gets accurately entered in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for use in proposals and other pursuit deliverables.

  • Pulls project profiles and resumes from the CRM and tailors them to each pursuit through targeted writing and layout refinement, ensuring content is clear, positioned, and aligned with pursuit strategy.

  • Helps maintain systems and processes for information management related to proposal narratives, graphic libraries, projects/case studies and corporate expertise.

  • Helps create and develops pursuit-related content by writing, editing and formatting materials using established templates ensuring consistency with brand standards and quality expectations.

  • Meets internal and external deadlines; may be required to assist with driving and hand delivering proposals.

Content Development

  • Assists with researching, writing and layout of basic sales and marketing collateral including brochures, presentations, and other material to help the company communicate with its target audiences, including architects, prospects, clients, associates, the AEC industry and the community.

  • Coodinates the development of award submissions and leadership program applications by identifying and tracking opportunities, gathering information, writing and editing content, developing layouts and collaborating with internal teams to position the company and its people as industry leaders, while adhering to all submission requirements and deadlines.

  • Assists with writing content for various marketing efforts including pursuits, awards, email newsletters (internal and external), thought leadership articles, website and social media.

Public Relations, Promotions & Events

  • Assists with planning, coordinating and executing project and corporate events such as ribbon cuttings, ground breakings, golf tournaments, and client and associate events, etc.

  • Helps coordinate signage, as needed, for projects to ensure visibility and consistent branding.

  • Assists marketing and business development teams in planning and developing materials needed for sales-related activities, such as conferences and trade shows, speaking/panel engagements, and sponsored events.

  • Assists with other marketing efforts such as media relations, community relations, etc., to support the marketing team and advance the company’s brand.

Other

  • Uses project management software to collaborate with team members and organize tasks.

  • Helps coordinate photography and works with marketing team to support photo shoots.

  • Coordinates with print, promotional, event and photography vendors as necessary.

  • Maintains quality standards in all efforts.

  • Participates or leads special projects as recommended by department leadership.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements before going into job)

  • 1-3 years experience or equivalent internship experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 especially Teams, OneNote, SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Preferred proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Photoshop.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment navigating simultaneous projects.

  • Works productively and efficiently, balanced with a high level of quality.

  • Excellent organization, planning and time management skills.

  • Strong writing and editing skills.

  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.
