Job Shift: DayUnder general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for leading the organization’s marketing, branding, and public relations strategies to promote and enhance the organization’s image, programs, and services. This role provides strategic oversight and direction for all marketing initiatives, ensuring consistent and effective communication across multiple platforms. The position will uphold the principles of WIHCC’s Mission, Vision, and Value Statements, and maintain confidentiality of all privileged information at all times.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, and manages comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that align with Winslow Indian Health Care Center, Inc.’s (WIHCC) goals, mission, and values.
- Oversees brand management to ensure all materials, messaging, and visual identity consistently reflect the organization’s mission and objectives.
- Leads the creation and execution of marketing campaigns to promote programs, events, and services; monitors trends, analyzes data, and adjusts strategies to optimize effectiveness.
- Establishes standardized marketing practices, procedures, and public relations plans to achieve organizational objectives.
- Directs the development and dissemination of content, including press releases, newsletters, brochures, advertisements, website updates, satisfaction surveys, social media posts, and other promotional materials.
- Creates multimedia content—videos, graphics, and photography—to support outreach and engagement efforts.
- Maintains and directs the marketing calendar for major projects and events such national health observances.
- Works closely with executive leadership, Division Chiefs, department managers, and hospital administrators to ensure brand alignment, coordinated messaging, and effective internal communications.
- Develops, manages, and monitors the marketing and communications budget; allocates resources effectively, analyzes variances, and initiates corrective actions as needed.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with media contacts to promote favorable coverage of the organization.
- Plans, promotes, and delivers presentations in the community, at internal meetings, and at goodwill events to strengthen relationships and engagement.
- Coordinates and monitors corporate community contribution efforts.
- Analyzes marketing program results, patient service data, and satisfaction feedback to recommend program development or refinement.
- Provides post-event reports, program analyses, and regular status updates to leadership.
- Upholds all principles of confidentiality and patient care fully.
- Adheres to all professional and ethical behavior standards of the healthcare industry.
- Adheres to WIHCCs Personnel Policies and Procedures, departmental policies, rules, and regulations.
- Interacts in an honest, trustworthy and dependable manner with patients, employees, visitors, and vendors.
- Possesses cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Maintains compliance with all financial stewardship requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

QualificationsMinimum

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in marketing, public relations, or communications (preferably in healthcare, nonprofit, or service-oriented environment). Bilingual skills in English and Navajo language preferred. Must maintain a valid, unrestricted, and insurable driver’s license. Must successfully pass a background investigation. Must meet suitable requirements for a Child Care position. Position classified as a Child Care position, requiring a satisfactory background check. Subject to the requirements of the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act (ICPFVP Act), as amended.
Knowledge, Skills, Ability
- Extensive knowledge of advertising, branding, marketing, and contract negotiation
- Strong project management skills
- Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication abilities
- Experienced in program development from initial ideas through evaluation
- Proficient in digital marketing tools, social media management, and analytics platforms
- Skilled in crisis communication and media relations (preferred)
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders
- Excellent computer and database management skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Dependable in attendance and job performance, including ability to meet overtime and reliability requirements
- Skilled in creating and presenting effective speeches and presentations

Physical Demands:
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects and equipment, reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively by talking and hearing. The employee frequently must stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and may occasionally use taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office setting or outdoor work environment with moderate noise levels. Work environment may involve exposure to physical risks, such as blood borne pathogens, hazardous chemicals, or operating potential dangerous equipment, and requires adherence to all safety protocols. Required work schedules may include evening, weekend, overnight shifts, extended hours, or irregular schedules as operational needs dictate.
As required by P.L. 93-638, absolute preference will be given to qualified Navajo applicants.  If there is no qualified Navajo applicant, preference will be given to qualified American Indian applicants.
