How You Will Contribute

The Marketing Coordinator supports the creation, organization, and distribution of digital marketing assets across platforms, including social media, paid media, email, and the website. This role is responsible for producing engaging multimedia content, coordinating campaign assets, and ensuring brand consistency across all digital touchpoints. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, the coordinator helps execute content strategies that effectively promote exhibitions, programs, and institutional initiatives while fostering an inclusive and dynamic digital presence.

Specifically, you will:

Social Media Coordination
 
  • Support all aspects of the museum’s social media strategy, including project management, asset sourcing, and coordination with internal stakeholders, and external partners to fulfill social media goals and inbound requests in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Social Media.
  • Shoot video and photography on iPhone and DJI Osmo Pocket 3, as well as microphones, ring light, and other associated equipment. Occasional night and weekend coverage for key on-site activations and events.
  • Edit video and visual content in alignment with organizational brand standards and style guidelines using Adobe Premiere Pro, Capcut and Canva.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies to identify opportunities and engage new partners.

Asset Coordination
 
  • Coordinate and traffic advertising campaigns across relevant channels (e.g., Google, Meta, programmatic partners, and local media outlets)
     
  • Manage asset delivery timelines, ensuring all creative materials meet platform specifications and vendor requirements
  • Maintain and organize digital asset libraries for marketing materials
  • Collaborate with internal creative teams and external partners to secure and update assets for campaigns
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather content for newsletters and announcements

Marketing Department Coordination
 
  • Provide administrative and project coordination support to the Communications and Marketing team
  • Process Communications and Marketing billing
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings on behalf of the department


Your background and experience include:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least two years professional experience in digital marketing and social media. Art history, studio art, film, or associated majors preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with short form video content creation preferred.
  • Strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven project management and multi-tasking skills and ability to work independently, proactively, collaboratively, and effectively under pressure.
  • Experience with analytics tools for social media platforms preferred.
  • Experience with Sprout Social, Asana, or similar social media management and project management programs.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver who can clearly articulate ideas, frame challenges, highlight opportunities, and offer solutions.
  • Interest and enthusiasm for the work of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and knowledge of art and non-profit cultural world.

Position and Compensation Details
 
  • The hourly rate for this position is $19.88.
  • This position is Full-Time, Non-Exempt, and 35 hours per week.
  • This position is part of the AFSCME Local 397 bargaining unit.
  • This position reports to the Director of Marketing
  • This position is required to be fully on site at Philadelphia Museum of Art locations three days per week, and remote two days depending on the schedule for the week at the discretion of your manager.
  • Physical requirements:
  • Physical requirements:
    • Able to remain stationary for extended periods of time, to utilize computers and other office equipment required of this job, to perform physically administrative duties in a typical interior office environment, gallery, or exhibit space, and to access most public and staff areas of the museum campus
  • Background check required after a conditional job offer is made. Consideration of the background check will be tailored to the requirements of the job.
