The marketing coordinator is responsible for supporting the manager and marketing team in executing marketing plans and driving tactics from initiation through final project delivery. This role requires coordinator to understand the fundamentals of marketing and work on a variety of projects at one time while being flexible and shifting priorities as business needs change. Projects may include website content, videos, e-communications, printed collateral, conference planning/logistics (as needed), photo and video shoots, and/or advertising.

Experience

  • 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, advertising, healthcare, non-profit and/or fundraising agency experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, journalism, communications, business, or related field

Job Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy

  • Exhibits initiative, proactivity, and curiosity to support the development of integrated key messages, plans and recommendations with cross-functional marketing and communications teams.

  • Supports marketing team and business partners in achieving program goals through implementation of comprehensive, strategic, and integrated marketing plans.

  • In collaboration with the manager, makes sure project goals are strategically aligned and agreed upon before kicking off with business partners or internal creative teams.

  • Works to understand the role of tactics and different communications channels in order to report on effectiveness.

Project Management

  • Manages a wide range of projects and multiple timelines including website content, videos, e-communications, printed collateral, conference planning/logistics (as needed), and/or advertising.

  • Understands how to initiate projects by asking thoughtful, strategic questions that lead to valuable project insights.

  • Understands how to write and use creative briefs to guide projects and deliver on the main goal.

  • Identifies issues and works with manager or other team members to quickly provide solutions and keep projects moving forward.

  • Balances urgency with accuracy to deliver the best work.

  • Maintains brand consistency by learning visual identity standards and editorial style guide.

  • In collaboration with senior coordinators and manager, supports development of tracking and reporting of marketing and/or advertising tactics.

  • General understanding of digital content and orientation towards search engine optimization.
