Job Description

Do you enjoy taking ownership and are you motivated by independently driving and developing marketing initiatives forward. Here, you will have a key position in the marketing efforts for Sectra Communications in the Netherlands, as well as several neighboring markets managed by the Dutch office. Together with the sales team, local leadership, and headquarters in Sweden, you will play an important part in creating visibility, strengthening the brand, and supporting the business through relevant and commercially driven marketing activities.

Sectra Communications operates at the intersection of cybersecurity, defence, and critical infrastructure. We develop secure communication solutions used by governments, defence organizations, and institutions where failure is simply not an option.

As Sectra Communications continues to grow across Europe, the office in the Netherlands plays an important role in strengthening the company’s presence closer to key markets outside Sweden. To support this growth, we are now expanding the team with a Marketing Communicator role focused on creating stronger local market presence, enabling faster execution, and supporting the business across several European markets. In close collaboration with the marketing team at headquarters in Sweden, you will act as an important extension of the team while contributing with local market insights and regional execution.

The Role

This role includes driving and executing marketing activities across the markets managed by the Dutch office, with a focus on visibility, and market positioning. You will plan and coordinate high-impact events within government, defence, and industry-related environments, as well as creating clear and engaging communication around complex cybersecurity and defence topics. You will also contribute to broader marketing initiatives together with the HQ team in Sweden, ensuring alignment across markets and channels.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver Sectra’s key Dutch events
  • Create global content supporting the sales and marketing initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging and strategy

In addition to this, we want you to have:

  • Relevant university education in marketing or communication with high grades
  • Strong skills in writing, especially for digital channels (social media, campaigns, web)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in Dutch and English
  • Strong in project management, A structured and organized person who enjoys keeping things in order
  • A social, curious and open personality – you like working with people and building trust

Due to the nature of our work with classified information, Dutch citizenship is a mandatory requirement

It’s a plus if you have:

  • Experience in event planning, public affairs, lobbying or strategic communication
  • Experience with public sector / defence / NATO environments
  • Affinity with complex B2B environments (cybersecurity, government, defence, critical infrastructure)
  • Fluency in additional languages such as German, French, Spanish, Italian, or Swedish
