Job Description

About

Are you an ambitious student within Marketing and Communications looking to apply your knowledge and skills in a real-life environment, whilst starting your career? We are looking for a part-time employee working as marketing and communications assistant.

Join ROCKWOOL Finland, which is a part of ROCKWOOL Group, a global leader in sustainable stone wool solutions, where we turn natural materials into products that improve energy efficiency, fire safety, and acoustic comfort. As a purpose‑driven, carbon‑negative company operating in more than 40 countries, we combine innovation with long‑term sustainability. You’ll be part of an international, collaborative environment that supports learning, growth, and meaningful impact.

Your future team

You will join the Finnish marketing team of ROCKWOOL Finland Oy, located in Vantaa. The MarCom team is responsible for various marketing and communications tasks in Finland and works closely with the Nordic marketing and communications team, and the whole Finnish organization.

What You Will Be Doing

You will work side by side at the Finnish office in Tikkurila, Vantaa with the marketing manager of Finland getting a lot of support for your work. You will work 15 hours per week. We will accommodate the working hours to fit your studies, although sometimes we need some flexibility from you to be able to meet deadlines and meetings with colleagues in different countries.

As highly valued member of a small team, you will be given plenty of responsibility and tasked with a variety of marketing projects. These include:

  • Translations – you will be given various different materials to be translated in Finnish, in which you need to be detailed and meticulous.

  • Marketing materials – you will support the creation of various marketing materials, presentations and in general help to coordinate online and offline content creation tasks for webpages, newsletters, SoMe, brochures etc.

  • SoMe – you will support our SoMe content creation and posting on achieving our goals and increasing our SoMe performance.

  • Events – You will be involved in organizing and coordinating events and fairs from planning to implementation. This requires strong time management and organizational skills.

  • Various ad hoc assignments – you will support all immediate marcom tasks as well as sales and distributors directly on numerous ad hoc tasks.

All tasks will require close collaboration with the marketing manager of Finland and some tasks with the Nordic MarCom team. You will also collaborate with stakeholders outside the marcom team such as, sales, product managers, distributors, agencies, graphic designers, magazines, advertisers etc.

What You Bring

You are a current university student likely in the bachelor’s phase of your studies — preferably in marketing, communications, business, or a related field — and you communicate fluently in Finnish.

You also have excellent English skills, while proficiency in Swedish, Danish, or Norwegian is considered an advantage. You work in a structured and organized way, manage your time well, and feel comfortable handling multiple tasks independently. You bring a proactive mindset, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate smoothly with colleagues in an international environment, along with confidence in using common digital tools and a willingness to learn more as you grow in the role.

Previous experience in marketing, communications, administrative roles, or working in a B2B environment is considered beneficial.

Who You Are

You are curious, proactive, ambitious and with a strong drive. You have no problem communicating with a broad range of stakeholders. You keep up-to-date on digital trends, AI and similar. You might have experience with Adobe software such as Photoshop, InDesign etc. You also care about making clear communication that is easily understood by your target audience. Lastly, you also like being creative and thrive in a work environment where your opinion matters. You need to be able to speak up to be able to succeed in this role.

This Is What We Offer

You will be part of a company where we will trust and empower you to grow both professionally and personally, and where we provide you with the opportunity to work on a variety of initiatives with passionate, fun and down-to earth colleagues.

Join us in helping making customers’ operations safe for people, better for the environment and best for their business by working for a sustainable business.
