At MKBC, we save lives every day by providing blood products to hospitals in PA and NJ. The Marketing Communications Coordinator position is responsible for developing and producing engaging, mission-focused content that supports Miller-Keystone Blood Center and HCSC's marketing, communications, and community engagement objectives. The anticipated annual salary starts at $45,000 and is commensurate with experience. In addition, Miller-Keystone offers the following to all full-time employees:

What you will be doing:

  • Identify and tell compelling mission-driven stories through interviews and engagement with donors, recipients, employees, volunteers, community partners, and blood drives.
  • Create engaging multimedia content including stories, photography, video, graphics, audio, and digital assets across social media, websites, email, campaigns, and other marketing channels.
  • Manage social media content and calendars to support donor recruitment, brand awareness, community engagement, and organizational priorities while maintaining a consistent brand voice, including the organization's mascot, Half Pint.
  • Explore innovative storytelling approaches by monitoring digital trends, emerging technologies, and approved AI tools to strengthen Miller-Keystone Blood Center's digital presence.
  • Manage creative projects and priorities by assessing communication needs, coordinating assignments, and communicating timelines and project status with internal stakeholders.
  • Build relationships by representing Miller-Keystone Blood Center at donation centers, blood drives, hospitals, community events, and other organizational activities.
  • Monitor content performance using analytics to identify audience insights, inform content strategy, and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate across the Marketing department to align communications with organizational priorities, audience needs, brand standards, and mission while managing projects and meeting deadlines.

What you will bring to the role:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, plus 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing, or social media is required. Equivalent education, professional experience, and demonstrated portfolio work may be considered. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Experience creating professional social media and digital content for an established organization. Non-profit, Healthcare, and mission-driven experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify compelling stories, develop creative concepts, and produce content from idea through final asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Portfolio or documentation demonstrating relevant work in social media, graphic design, photography, video, or other creative disciplines. Portfolio submission is required for consideration.
  • Proficiency with creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or CapCut is preferred.

Additional information:

This position reports to the Director of Marketing and will be based out of the Bethlehem administrative office. They will be responsible for working the following schedule:

  • This is an on-site position which requires regular travel to fixed sites, mobile blood drives, and community events. The normal hours for this position are Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm (flexible).
  • This position may require work outside of regular business hours, including evenings or weekends, based on organizational needs.
  • Must hold a clear and valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
