Job Description

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is a strategic, mission-driven leader who oversees all marketing, communications, and public relations for Indian Rocks Christian School. Working closely with the Head of School and Admissions teams, you will develop multi-channel strategies to generate inquiries, support enrollment growth, and enhance the IRCS brand. The ideal candidate is an innovative storyteller who will ensure our internal and external communications deeply reflect our Christ-centered values.

Essential Functions:

Marketing Strategy and Inquiry Generation

  • Develop and execute an integrated marketing plan to drive awareness, interest, and enrollment inquiries.
  • Partner with Admissions to align marketing efforts with enrollment goals and track campaign performance using data analytics.
  • Manage digital marketing channels (website, social media, email, search) with a focus on storytelling and measurable outcomes.

Brand Stewardship and Storytelling

  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and manage the creation of visual and written content across all communication channels.
  • Serve as editor-in-chief for key communications (print, video, digital) to ensure alignment with institutional messaging.
  • Craft compelling narratives highlighting the IRCS mission, students, families, and alumni.
  • Track and report on brand recognition and market positioning among target audiences.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Manage relationships with external marketing partners (e.g., Tassel) and coordinate with internal/external creative professionals.
  • Facilitate regular marketing and admissions meetings to ensure strategic coordination and shared priorities.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally (Development, Athletics, Academics) to provide communication support for key events and initiatives.

Systems, Innovation, and Knowledge Management

  • Oversee the school’s communication calendar, message library, and digital assets.
  • Document and uphold core institutional messaging (mission, vision, philosophy) to guide all communications.
  • Leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline content creation, enhance efficiency, and ensure message consistency.
  • Analyze market trends to identify growth opportunities for reaching prospective, current, and alumni families.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5–7 years of experience in marketing, communications, or advancement leadership, preferably within an educational or Christian mission-driven organization.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven track record of yielding measurable growth in enrollment inquiries and brand awareness through strategic marketing.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and public speaking skills, with a talent for compelling storytelling and delivering engaging group presentations.
  • A cohesive understanding of brand management coupled with a sharp eye for high-quality visual design.
  • Highly organized with the discipline to manage multiple priorities, deliverables, creative teams, and external vendors simultaneously.
  • Comfortable adopting and optimizing digital platforms, CRMs, and integrating AI technologies into daily communication workflows.
  • Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to build healthy, cross-functional relationships and align departments toward shared organizational goals.

  • Demonstrates a mature, growing faith in Jesus Christ, provides testimony of a personal relationship with Him, and senses the call of God to a serving ministry.
  • Demonstrate a consistent Christian lifestyle as referenced by the Mission, Statement of Faith, and Leadership Guidelines of Indian Rocks
  • Must be an active member of Indian Rocks as defined by regular attendance in worship services, regular attendance/involvement in an Indian Rocks Connection Group or Small Group, commitment to systematic stewardship, and faithful in tithing.
